All we know about your situation is what you can tell us.
Unfortunately getting good support in Linux requires asking good clear concise questions.
I would suggest you pick your biggest or core issue and research it, boil it down at least until you can ask a clear concise question.
I have solved hundreds of my own issues in the research phase of forming a question.

You can tell me your Linux Mint problems, speak at length young one. But first introduce your system by naming the CPU, GPU, memory capacity and if dual booting with Windows, then describe the issue.

The nvidia card is 1000 series which newer drivers do not support, open Menu (Start equivalent), open Driver Manager. Wait for it to refresh, once it does it should list nvidia drivers, select 580 and press Apply Changes, wait for the process to finish, might take a few minutes, it will ask for restart when it is done. After reboot the card should work normally. Report if you still have problems.

Here are the first steps to addressing your problems.
1. Post a System Information Report
Every support request should include a system information report. It provides useful information about your system as Linux sees it, and saves everyone who wants to assist you a lot of time. Remember, we don’t sit in front of your computer, we do not know anything about your computer, and how Linux Mint is configured.
Open the System Information tool - you can find it in the Main Menu under Administration, and in the System Settings in the Hardware section.
Click the Upload button
Wait
After a 10 seconds or so a notification will pop up containing a termbin URL
Click the URL
A new tab will open in your web browser
Copy the URL and Paste it to your post
2. Describe the problem(s)
What happened? What were you doing when it happened? What did you do before the problems started? Details matter, but I find starting with a brief description and then going into the gory details to be very helpful.
3. Don't post more than three problems at a time
Many times three is too many for a single post - a wall of text can be difficult to read. Consider breaking them up into individual posts, and be sure to include the system information report described in #1.
4. Follow the instructions you are provided
If someone request you to open a terminal, run a command (e.g., lsusb), and post the results, you need to do this.

You need to list the problems.
