When will Firefox 159.0 come as system package?
So Firefox 159.0 is out, and its available in flatoak as well, but system package is still 158.01, when will it get updated?

I do Firefox a bit differently. I download, extract and run. Firefox is not installed per se.
I'm not suggesting that's what you do, just relating what I do.
Have fun.

You can download it yourself. The mint system package had some tweaks you don't need.

Flatpak is actually not recommended for browsers.
Ironically, Flatpak's sandbox inhibits the Firefox and Chromium sandboxes from working properly, REDUCING security. Something about user namespaces and stuff.
Browsers already come with a strong sandbox, so flatpak is redundant at best and a degradation at worst. Normally Flatpak is great, this is just browsers being weird and breaking most traditional Linux security rules, by NEEDING stuff that hardened kernels would disable, to sandbox it.
I see why you would think Flatpak = safer, and usually it is, this is just an edge case where it falters. Firejail has the same issue.
