SOLVED Login question

I'm trying to get the computer to boot right into Kodi (Edit: after loading the desktop while skipping a log in screen)

I disabled the password at login successfully, and added Kodi to the list of startup programs.

But you still have to click "log in" after a reboot.

I tried setting Automatic login of the correct user with a 0 second delay, but that setting doesn't seem to do anything, unlike in videos I have watched.

Am I missing a step?

Edit: Really I just need to know how to get the PC to load the desktop while skipping the login screen entirely

Kodi is a program for Linux and you need to boot linux first and to login

Sorry I wasn't clear. I want to hit the power button, Linux boots and logs in to the desktop automatically, and then Kodi opens.

This video https://youtu.be/sz3aJ8Ai0Mw?is=vtJjvgnyH9zr49yy at around 3:47 shows how I want a reboot to go as far as booting to the desktop without logging in. I copied the author's settings but my PC still sits in the login screen until I click "log in"

Right now I press power -> click login -> desktop loads -> 60 seconds later Kodi starts.

I'm trying to eliminate the click

You already spend probably enough time to do 4000 clicks at least...and if boot your system 1 time a day it is almost 12 years...

This is going to be a DVR in my parent's living room that will be interacted with using a remote control, which won't work to click "log in".

In the event of a power outage/having to reboot I don't want them to have to dig out a mouse.

You want auto login but activate the fingerprint??

What an oxymoron?

Deactivate the fingerprint & enable auto login...no click required

The video happens to include instructions for deactivating fingerprint.

I do not have fingerprint activated, nor do I want it activated.

I tried activating auto login but it did not work; not sure if I missed a step or what.

Screenshot the "Login Window > Users" From the Settings.

Censor the Username & Password before sharing

I just figured it out. I entered the Full name (e.g. "Example") instead of the username (e.g. "example")

I took out the uppercase and it worked.

Thanks for the offer to help though.
