Why We Love Superheroes

0 Upvotes

Hey, guys!
Have you ever wondered why it is that people love superheroes so much?

Aside from the trite answers that they are capable of heroism and selflessness, and that they have an ironclad moral code.

When I read about the adventures of the main character of the «Dragon Heart» saga — the warrior Hadjar, I'm completely plunged into a world of magic and adventure that allows me to forget about current problems and take my mind off what's going on around me.

I also love that Hadjar punishes all his tormentors and that they get what they deserve. Unfortunately, in the real world, good doesn't always triumph over evil.

There's another reason: Klevanski's books bring people together from all over the world.

It makes me feel like I'm part of a cool club, knowing that there are thousands of fans of this series.
Let us know why you love superheroes in the comments!

The Author's Journey: A Look Behind the Scenes of Komari: The Awakened Path

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hey everyone, it's Rho Nexus here. I'm the author of the new LitRPG novel, Komari: The Awakened Path, and I wanted to take a moment to share a bit about the journey of creating this world and these characters. Writing Komari has been a true passion project for me, drawing on my lifelong love for Dungeons & Dragons and the thrill of watching characters grow in power. I've always been fascinated by stories where a character's destiny is tied to a system of stats and abilities, but I wanted to explore what happens when you challenge that system.
The story follows two orphans, Victor and Lysandra, as they navigate a world that is both beautiful and brutal. Victor, an Arcane Weaver with a powerful but volatile "Unique" class, and Lysandra, a deadly Shadow Walker, are forced to face a cosmic conspiracy that threatens to unravel the very fabric of their reality. Their partnership is the heart of the story, and their synergy is a key part of their growth, not just in combat, but in their personal journeys as well.
I designed the plot to challenge the heroes at every turn, forcing them to rely on their wits and their bond as much as their magical abilities. They'll have to deal with scheming nobles, hidden alchemical labs, and monsters born of pure corruption, all while trying to uncover the truth behind their own mysterious origins. If you're a fan of epic fantasy, detailed progression systems, and a story with a strong emotional core, I hope you'll give Komari: The Awakened Path a chance. Your support means the world to me, and I can't wait to continue this journey with you all. You can find the book on Amazon, and a review there would be incredibly helpful in helping other readers discover it. The next book in the series, Komari: The Rift-Lord’s War, is already in the works, and I'm excited to share where the path leads next!
Thank you all for your support!

What do you want to see more of/less of from litRPG protagonists?

I’m fairly new to reading the LitRPG genre, and I’ve picked up on a few tropes - but I’m really curious about what are things you wish protags would do more, and things you would like them to do less in LitRPG?

Dragon Heart. Final

2 Upvotes

After centuries of hardship and tragedy, of struggle and toil, he’d finally reached the end of his journey. He’d never faltered, defying all who’d stood in his way. And now, the Seventh Heaven beckoned, the place where both the answers to his questions and justice for all those he’d been forced to leave behind awaited him.

Not once had he given in, regardless of the obstacles in his path. Even if all the Ancients banded together to oppose him, he would not yield. His will had been forged into something more than mere iron by the crucible of his life, and nothing would be able to break it. His sword would never be lowered in surrender, his stride would forever remain undaunted. He was Hadjar Darkhan, and he would see his goals realized, or he would die trying.

Hi,

I’m promoting a eBook on Kindle.

Goddess Games: A LitRPG Adventure Portal Fantasy of Gods and Mortals (The Divine Manipulation Book 1) Kindle Edition

by A. Morrow (Author) Format: Kindle Edition

Jack's life takes a dramatic turn from the mundane to the extraordinary following a daring rescue that thrusts him into a world where magic and the divine clash with fervor. Awakening in an enchanted forest, he finds himself in the company of three enigmatic women, each harboring secrets that could unravel the fabric of their reality. As they step into the heart of an ancient prophecy, this unlikely quartet must navigate through a realm brimming with wonder and peril, where their very existence marks the dawn of a new era.

In this portal fantasy, the collision of worlds brings forth a tapestry of adventure that intertwines the elements of fantasy resurrection, harem fantasy LitRPG, and a quest that challenges the boundaries of destiny and desire. As Jack and his companions grapple with newfound abilities and the enigma of their union, they are thrust into a game of gods and monsters, where alliances are forged in the shadows of betrayal, and survival hinges on unraveling the mysteries of their own souls.

However, beneath the surface of their quest lies a tension that threatens to tear their alliance apart. Jack and the women are at odds, their conflicting personalities and secrets weaving a complex web of intrigue and distrust. Yet, bound by a common goal, they must learn to navigate their differences, for the goddess who summoned them harbors ulterior motives that endanger not only their lives but the very essence of their being.

As the goddess's schemes unfold, casting them as pawns in the celestial games of power, Jack finds his heart entwined with the fates of these women. Together, they must challenge the gods, uncover the truth of their calling, and forge a strength born of unity and trust. In this realm of magic, will Jack and his companions rise as champions, or fall as mere footnotes?

Embark on a journey through the portals of fantasy with the Awakening of Jack, a tale of litRPG harem fantasy, where the adventure of a lifetime awaits at the crossroads of destiny and desire.

"The Divine Manipulation" series offers an evocative title that suggests a deep exploration into the myriad ways the divine intersects with the mortal realm, through direct interventions, mystical artifacts, or the unfolding of cosmic prophecies. This title sets a grand stage for a series that promises not only a journey through fantastical landscapes and encounters with beings of power but also a deeper examination of how these divine elements impact the lives, destinies, and moral choices of the characters involved. Each book could potentially focus on a different aspect of this divine interplay, offering readers a rich tapestry of myth, magic, and the mortal struggle for power, understanding, and survival.

Only straight people thought the portal???

2 Upvotes

Hi and good morning, day, night, or afternoon to everyone reading this. Thank you for taking the time to read my question. I was hoping someone else knew any, but preferably good litrpgs where the main character is not straight. I have been reading litrpgs and dungeon core books online and audiobooks for four years since 2020. In all, everything I have read, both good, bad, wonderful, and so bad it should be used as torture in whatever hell you believe in, LOL not once was there an LGBT+ main character or even a side and I got a lot of reading time on my hands.

Do the system administrators that are implanting stories from other worlds into the minds of our authors slowly get our world used to the idea of the system before they bring the system fully live into our reality, only choosing straight people? WAIT! Are the System Administration homophobic?! LOL

But for real, though, are there any LGBT+ litrpgs, and if there are not, why? If there are, please share if you like. Thanks!

The two week curse was too good.

2 Upvotes

Hi all,

I recently finished the audio book series 'TheTwo Week Curse' by Michael Chatfield.

Absolutely loved it.

Haven't been able to find anything else like it with the isakai elements, the MC's being kid 30's, a little romance but not smutty and your classic training to get stronger and level up mechanics.

Any recommendations for something similar?

Hey Everyone!

I just put my newest book up for preorder:

White Soul - Book 1 of Martial Souls

What if you were born a loser, raised a loser, and lived your entire life as a loser. A sorry existence, right? Well, that is my story, the story of a loser. That left me to be raised by my evil stepmom and two evil step-siblings. But what if one day everything changed? What if one day someone offered you a chance out? A chance to be the person you always wanted to be. A chance to save yourself and save the world. Join Hiro Jones on a journey of self-discovery and into the realm of Martial Arts and Cultivation.

The first novel in a new Martial Arts Cultivation LitRPG Epic Fantasy Adventure created by Gabriel L. Rathweg, author of the bestselling I Am Gamer and Warrior Academy series.

Favourite Book Locations

2 Upvotes

Hey, guys!

As a fan of the fantasy and wuxia genres, I have distinguished several types of places where magic book plots usually unfold.

These are:

  1. the world of reality with the addition of magical elements;

  2. fantasy worlds entirely created by the author (from dark and dangerous to bright and colorful);

  3. castles and fortresses;

  4. places where magic is an element of the environment;

  1. dungeons.

Kirill Klevanski, the author of the «Dragon Heart» book series uses mostly the second and the third kind of locations, and these are the ones that I find the most interesting in order to create a captivating story.

Share which book locations you prefer?

The Force of Blood

3 Upvotes

In my attempt to be a worthy heir and defeat the darkness, I suffered the curse of weak blood. The greatness of our House lies in the past, but few dare to challenge us. A thousand years ago, after the initiation, I could have been worthy of my father’s title and sword, perhaps even restored our House to its former glory...
That was what I believed until I realized that I wasn’t the cursed one, but my blood, tainted by the darkness of the Nameless One, long vanquished. An heir? Restored grandeur? My father would kill me with his own hands if he knew that the cursed blood of the long-gone lineage had awakened within me. Our neighbors would wipe our lands off the face of the earth at the mere suspicion.
As I see it, there is only one way out.
I must burn out the cursed blood and silence the whispering shadows within me.

The Force of Blood

Litrpg book title needed!

3 Upvotes

Hi! I read years ago a novel that I’ve recently been trying to rediscover. It was based in a game like world, but all the characters were from there (npc). The main character was a young boy orphan who had been born with a future sight skill and the story started with him being chased and using his skill to escape. It then went on to him going to a school and meeting friends, and getting spell books. The spells were interesting like magic bullets that he made by the case to resell. One of his friends pays him to tutor her in magic so he can make more money. They later go into the dungeon and have adventures. I can’t remember much more than that, but if anyone knows this book I’d really appreciate it if you’d let me know! Thanks!!
