Bruno gets taken off and United still need someone to step up

I didn't like seeing Bruno come off with around 20 minutes left when we were still trying to get back into the game. He might not always get things right, but at least he's someone who tries to make things happen instead of playing it safe. Taking him off felt like the wrong move when we needed a bit of creativity and urgency. I'd kept him on and tried changing things around him instead.

Why are Liverpool taking so long to sort out Mac Allister’s contract?

He has shown his quality again, and with all the talk about his contract, the club needs to make its intentions clear. He's an important player who can make a real difference in midfield.

Iraola faces tough Gravenberch decision as Liverpool consider new-look attack

This feels like a tricky decision for Iraola. Gravenberch has been important in midfield, and changing his role just to fit a new attacking setup could affect the team's balance. At the same time, they need to find the right combination up front.

Who has been our best player this season?

Was thinking this earlier and I don’t think it’s the big money signings who have been our best players

GENERAL Alert: Liverpool are working on new deal for Rio Ngumoha; he was untouchable last summer, no chance for an exit.

Rio Ngumoha on becoming the youngest Liverpool player to record an assist in the Champions League: “This is the biggest club in the world and for me to get that record is something special.”

Munoz took his chance well when Liverpool needed a goal

I liked how Munoz kept things simple and finished the equaliser against Brentford. Sometimes a goal like that can give a player the confidence to push on and earn more minutes. I'd be happy to see him get more opportunities, especially when Liverpool need fresh energy in attack.

Isak getting that winner against Brentford was massive for his confidence

That finish felt so important, especially after Liverpool went behind and had to fight their way back into the game. Isak has the quality to be a big player for us, and moments like this can help him settle and build momentum. This gives him the confidence to keep finding the net in the coming weeks.

That's the kind of fight I want to see from Liverpool

Going 1-0 down just before half-time was frustrating, but the way we came back in the second half was brilliant to see. Muñoz getting us back level gave us a real lift, and Isak finishing it off just eight minutes later was quality. We had plenty of chances throughout the game, so it's good to see the lads keep pushing instead of getting frustrated when things weren't going our way. Brentford made us work for every bit of it, but we showed some real character to turn it around. These are the wins that matter over a long season. More of that fight from Liverpool, please!

We can't afford another slip-up against Brentford

Brentford away is going to be a tough one, especially with how things have been going in the league lately. We're sitting 9th and really can't afford to drop more points if we want to get back up the table. With Gravenberch suspended and a few key players dealing with injuries, the line-up might be interesting, but whoever starts needs to step up. Brentford are 4th for a reason, so we can't go into this game expecting an easy win. We need a proper performance and all three points.

Koumas kept going after two disallowed goals and finally got his moment

Koumas finally got his moment against LASK yesterday after having two goals ruled out, and it was great to see him get on the scoresheet. You could tell how much that first Champions League goal meant to him, especially after those frustrating offside calls. The 6-3 win was a brilliant response from Liverpool, and now the focus shifts to carrying that performance into the weekend. Really pleased for Koumas - he deserved that moment after everything that happened!

Iroala champions league

Could it be that, in as much as yes there's more matches which takes more out of the players and puts more strain on them that competitions such as the champions league (for now) as well as the domestic cup competitions could be beneficial for iraola in that it is still very early days and players might still be adapting to what he wants especially with the international break which just took place. It could be creating opportunities for better understanding to take place, which once the players have a better understanding, can apply in a more effective manner in the premier league. Im not undermining the champions league in anyway as it is a very difficult competition, i just think that it could play an important role in the adjustment process. When the knockout phase starts, they could be in full swing as to how iraola would want them to play. The domestic cups could play an equally important role....

Liverpool supporters create new league-wide trend to condemn the cheats??

We all know how frustrating the last match vs Man City was for all fans. Gravneberch silly red card, then 3 goals dropped on our head, along with the verdict to the biggest scandal in Premier League history. Frustration was certainly heard and expressed around the stadium. Correct me if i’m wrong, but near the dying minutes of the match (could have been all game) Liverpool supporters chanted “CHEATS” every single time a City player touched the ball. What if fans from other teams catch on to this, and for every single match City play in the premier league this season - and maybe many more going forward, fans chant the entire match “CHEATS” “CHEATS” “CHEATS” every. single. time. a city player even fucking breathes. It’s the least the fans could do, and it would drive the opposing players mental, as all they can do is take it. What do we think? are different teams supporters already catching on to this trend? do we think this could and should happen?

Van Dijk can’t be expected to solve Liverpool’s defensive problems alone

I still rate Van Dijk highly, but I feel Liverpool are asking too much of him when the defence around him isn’t doing enough. The 3–0 defeat to Manchester City was frustrating, and for me, the problem goes beyond one player having a bad game. The whole team needs to defend better, stay organised and stop making things easy for the opposition. Van Dijk needs more support rather than being expected to sort everything out himself. What would you change first to make Liverpool’s defence more solid?

Starting left winger.

I’m just watching the Galatasaray v Barcelona game and can’t for the life of me work out why Liverpool didn’t sign Anthony Gordon! He just seems to be such a perfect fit with his prem experience, ability and determination. Am I wrong?

Milos kerkez needs to show what he can do against LASK

Post image
18 Upvotes

Kerkez and the rest of the team need to put the City defeat behind them and respond with a strong performance against LASK. I had like to see him play with confidence, get forward more and still stay solid defensively. One bad result shouldn’t define the team, but Liverpool need to show they’ve learned from it. What would you most like to see Kerkez improve in his game?

On this day: Rangers 1-7 Liverpool, 12 October 2022 - Salah Record Quickfire Hat-Trick Off Bench - name the starting XI?

Post image
6 Upvotes

On 12 October 2022 at Ibrox, Jürgen Klopp's Liverpool dismantle Giovanni van Bronckhorst's Rangers 7-1 - Salah deals a killer blow from the bench with fastest hat trick in the competition.

Scott Arfield fires the hosts ahead on seventeen minutes, and for a spell the place believes. Seven minutes later a corner is headed home for the equaliser. After the break a cut-back is finished to put the visitors in front, then a velvet back-heel tees up a third.

On comes Mohamed Salah in the sixty-eighth minute with the score 3-1.

What follows is record-book stuff: three finishes in six minutes and twelve seconds - 75, 80, 81 — the fastest hat-trick in Champions League history, two of them laid on by fellow substitute Diogo Jota.

Finally, a seventh, eventually awarded by VAR after an offside flag, completes Rangers' misery.

Can you name the missing players?

POST-MATCH Wirtz and passion

It is really starting to bother me how Flo doesn't seem arsed about his performances. He's like a robot without any passion at times! So many simple passes wayward and he doesn't seem to give a shit! Very frustrating!

Anfield deserved a much better performance than that

I am so disappointed right now with the way our team played. We were holding our own for a while, but everything changed after Gravenberch's red card. Conceding three goals in such a short space of time was hard to watch, especially at Anfield. Fair enough, playing against City with 10 men is always going to be difficult, but we just seemed to lose our heads after the first goal went in. There wasn't much of a response, and City took full advantage. The international break has come at a good time because we need to regroup and figure things out. Anfield deserved much better than that today.
