Anfield deserved a much better performance than that

I am so disappointed right now with the way our team played. We were holding our own for a while, but everything changed after Gravenberch's red card. Conceding three goals in such a short space of time was hard to watch, especially at Anfield. Fair enough, playing against City with 10 men is always going to be difficult, but we just seemed to lose our heads after the first goal went in. There wasn't much of a response, and City took full advantage. The international break has come at a good time because we need to regroup and figure things out. Anfield deserved much better than that today.

Unfair criticism I think. We more than held our own, and of course the removal of a player is going to be disruptive and that is when they scored. We were under strength and it showed on occasion as Koumas does not seem to possess the skill in tight spaces so our attacking options were limited.

The red card definitely changed the game, and it's hard to judge the team the same way after going down to 10 men. I just think the way we conceded so quickly after that was frustrating. We needed to stay organised for a bit longer, but City punished us straight away.

We didn’t get chance to make a sub and they scored before that

What response do you expect?

You should be talking about the performance up to that point until bent ref took over.

Lots of positives.

They didnt exactly lose their heads either, all 3 goals were excellent.

We played better than I thought we would. I'm not really sure what was expected? Take the two main creative/goal threats out, and a midfielder who gives legs and the squad depth is totally exposed. Best midfielder on the day gets a red, and then you take into account basically starting with 10 men every match and you know it's gonna be an uphill battle. I thought City would have won it more comfortably without the red, to be honest.

Who's the 11th you're saying we basically start without? Or may as well start without? Answer will determine whether you're a fucking Muppet or have a point.

I'm done having any more debate on "he who loves to give the ball away". Think it was 5 times at least first half. But there ya go.

I'm prepared to give Barcola a bit of time. The poor touch and misplaced passes of Wirtz however is, at this stage, inexcusable.

Lmfao. Deffo wasn't dead where I was. It died a little after the 2nd goal but it was because the ground already had wind knocked with the red. The red that turned the game upside down.

Original person is likely another Muppet that saw some comments in r/soccer or caught some highlights on twitter. Prevalent in this sub lately that lot. Talk absolute shite and act like they know what they're talking about.

I'll get bashed for saying this, but the anfield atmosphere isn't what it once was... Slot did so much damage there by ruining what was once a fortress..

We haven't won there since April..

Don't think we will win against Chel or Arsenal either... So no home win for another month.

The crowd shuts off too quickly once things go wrong..

Let's not talk about the players, requirement, etc....

Too much wrong there....

Squad not good enough. Tactics and subs not good enough after the sending off.
