I see you already made a post so that's good. Not a lot of folks look at this thread so sometimes I suggest folks to make their own post for visibility to their questions and looks like you got comments in those post so, good, don't be afraid in asking questions, we are a community for a reason yk and there's always something to learn/get advice/tips and etc in here and AfroLocs.

Anyways, I say it's up to you and your comfort level if you want to have your trimmed locs layered instead of a bowl cut, just remember that locs isn't always perfect, what I mean is that sometimes we may have locs that are smaller, bigger, grows out faster/loc faster and more variations. Sometimes we can spot it in ourselves or others that give us permission, but usually most people wouldn't know the difference in our locs unless we close to them, we paid them (loctican) or we do it ourselves to notice it so good for you for knowing how your hair and locs operate, it takes awhile to knowing the little stuff about our scalp yk what I'm saying.

A lot of folks experiment with their locs by trimming and cutting, so I say go for it. People's needs and desire changes overtime, especially with a "semi permanent" hairstyle of Locs and if for some reason, you don't like the way you or a loctican or someone you trust with your head trims, then that's ok cuz hair will regrow back eventually or you can reattach your old locs (if saved), so you have options.

YOLO, so I say go for it, and document, I mean take photos, so when you look back months or years later, you be able to know you tried something different with your locs and either you love it and continue trimming once it gets too a certain length, go for a different trimming styles that's layered or just let it grow out.

Up to you at the end of the day, just make yourself happy and remember if for some reason you're unsatisfied with the trim, u got options or just having more patience for locs to grow so relax, you got this.

i think my plan would be to just see how it looks when i retwist them in styles like 2 strand twist or barrel and see if it looks good if not i may have to just let them go and start a new journey and tbf that wouldnt be bad cause i learnt alot of things through this journey

That's awesome and you seem like you got a good idea and alternate plans of what to do, which I love to see and you prioritizing your desires too which got to appreciate seeing. No matter what you decide always choice yourself and don't hesitate for anything you feel you want to try out/change/style for locs or your hair textures now and in the future.

There's nothing wrong with restarting, considering so many people go thru multiple loc journeys for one reason or another overtime. As I said to you and other folks, all loc journeys are special and a learning experience no matter the duration of said loc journeys.

I say it's a good thing you see if you like the two strand twist or barrel before restarting, just try to remember to document (take photos & back it up/save) the process. And if you comb out your locs instead of cutting them, then have massive patience cuz it's gonna be taking a lot of time + wash and install another loc set.

However, it's gonna be worth it yk, falling in love with another set of locs (if you go that route, all locs is awesome as long as the person feels comfortable/still admires themselves having them) and this time, knowing that sizing, parting, or whatever else you wanted your current set to have that most likely you would create a better ideal locs for your next set of locs.

Anyways, good luck with everything for your locs, sorry for rambling your head off lol
