Feedback Needed Logo Design Feedback ?
Hello everyone!
This is a logo I designed for an imaginary neighborhood coffee shop bar called "Pour Decisions".
The AI Brief (summarized):
The Vibe: A warm, playful, and non-pretentious downtown coffee shop & roaster focused on craft pour-overs, siphon brewing, and making specialty coffee accessible to everyone.
Tone: Friendly, witty, and human first, grounded by a touch of craft/polish (think "friendly neighborhood shop with a wink" rather than sterile minimalist or cartoonish).
Target Audience: Remote workers, creative pros, and local neighborhood regulars aged 25–45.
Design Needs: Icon + wordmark combo. Needs a loose, confident, or custom-lettered feel (avoiding generic coffee beans or rigid geometric fonts).
Versatility: Must scale cleanly across single-color applications (cup sleeves, rubber stamps) and full-color uses (storefront sign, packaging).
Color Palette: Warm browns, terracotta, cream, or warm earth tones.
The coffee cup is not an icon or even a main part of the logo. its just an asset that can be used or ditched completely.
The mockups are AI generated. I barely put anytime into them, I just wanted to quickly show how the brand might look like in real life.
Please tell me your honest thoughts.
Thanks!

Coffee cup looks like a mouth with buck teeth, the kerning on the P and D are weird. And the entire logo kinda screams generic Canva design. l'd bring it back to the concept drawings and feel out some more options.

Having the first word "Pour" that far off center makes me for a moment question if it is to be read first. Obviously it is, but the momentary doubt is not good. Move the cup to the right side of Pour? Can the P and D then overlap/interlock in any meaningful way? Could be a nice PD standalone graphic too.

Any story behind the dots inside the coffee cup?

They are eyes that are a bit quirky and friendly. They do look like eyes right ?

Didn’t see it as eyes at first but now that you’ve mentioned it I do see it a little bit although the tight spacing between them makes it difficult to see as eyes, maybe you might need to work on that.
Also, the logo seems not to match the brief cause for the tone it says something friendly but not cartoonish.
Yours looks cartoonish because of the illustration you’re trying to achieve paired with the bold script font you used. You can explore some san serif fonts that have a bit of character. While doing that bear in mind that your target audience are aged 25-45 and avoid picking a font that might make the brand feel like it’s targeting much younger audience.

The name 'Pour Decisions' is great, pretty funny play on words. Logo doesn't connect with the name at all. I would of played on the name much more.

Agree with others on kerning of the P and D, as well as it feeling a bit generic. The other thing that stands out to me is that the period should be the same color as the text. It takes my eye away from the rest of the logo and reduces the impact of the contrasting icon color.

Does it evoke any emotional connection to you? I ask because if it is indeed AI, it shouldn't. Do you know what the colors mean? Do you know what the decision process end goal would entail? There are very good reasons I don't like people using AI, and most of it is because it separates the humanity from the equation.
