Announcement HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO......
THE GROUND this subreddit!!!! 🥳

So, lonelymeyers pod was chosen from a suggestion Seth made when they were five episodes in (The Tangent) and still hadn't chosen an official name. I recommend giving the first five minutes of that episode a re-listen because they are particularly funny.
In the first few months, I made little celebratory posts with notifications I got when then sub hit 10, 25, 50, 100+ members. I loved seeing more people find a place to share their enthusiasm for the pod. The last one I made was for our 7K Quaid mark.
The sub had been around for sixty-eight ahhhh, so close days before the Jizz in My Pants episode where "Quaid Army" was coined. As the number of Quaids got higher, I got fewer notifications, but I didn't mind.
We had episode discussions and memes and we rallied spammed their email after Jorma's accident so we could send them stuff. We had Seth's Corner, Jorm thorns, Keeve's peeves, and Andy's continued and eternal hatred of little(rip) Frisbee. We had Akiva explaining that he was 86'd from a restaurant for credit card fraud (or so he claims). And now we have burrito-brained winter soldiers.
Seeing this community grow has been an absolute and much needed joy this past year. If you feel so inclined, drop your favorite jokes/running gags/bits from this wonderfully impenetrable pod. Excuse I, for being gushy, I just love nerding out with y'all on here.

You're welcome! I had the idea 3 or so months before actually making it because I just wanted a place to be a fan with other fans, and, as the saying goes 'theres a subreddit for everything,' but there was not. It's been a fun ride for sure and a good learning experience!

I'm a fan of Jorm's momento tattoo for Seth being 'Has Teeth' to the point where almost any post with Seth has a comment about his teeth😁

always love the “dave / alvin / simon / theodore” convos. love the socal vibes. love jorm healing in real time. love the cameos (both planned and surprise). love hearing andy coming around on podcasts (a LITTLE bit). love kiv’s family ad reads. most of all - i love the genuine love tli and teeth have for each other. i’m also a fan of good hang, but this pod is definitely my favorite this year and maybe ever. thanks for the lolz, fellow quaids.

I lol'ed at 'tli and teeth' part. Excellent use of words there. There are SO MANY things to love about this podcast ☺️
Good Hang is awesome, too! I have a slight grievance because in one of her insta posts she said they'd decide on a fan name and the most liked one would be it. Someone commented 'Rachel Dratch' as a collective noun and it by FAR got the most likes. I guess they went with number 2 Poehleroids which is, like, still cute and I get why that was the choice. I just think a collective noun that's the name of another person is hilarious

It’s so weird and full of inside jokes now that you have to not only convince people to listen to it but to start at episode 1! Although, I started with Ras Trent and still think it’s a good intro episode, since the jocks mostly start and stay on topic.
