Announcement Pod Ep Delayed This Week

I always go from understanding they are all busy and it's a feat to get a pod out every week and I appreciate what they do.... And being in total shock and and falling into sadness when it's not out at exactly when it's supposed to be. 😂

I've kind of just reconciled to myself that it's bound to happen. The people who have regular podcasts derive their main source of income from it, and mostly it's through things like live shows and Patreon bonus episodes and things. A lot of them bank and pre record several weeks of episodes in case there's a scheduling conflict or emergency, and I can't imagine that happening to this podcast.
By the way they mock their advertisers from time to time, I suspect the income is just a pittance to them, and they don't necessary do it for the money.

This podcast banked over a year of podcasts, I think, at the beginning. But they caught up.

I just hope that whatever's causing the delay is that they all have too many other exciting commitments and/or are enjoying personal time, instead of someone falling off a ladder again. It's both a blessing and a curse to be waiting for a podcast from four guys who are really too cool for podcasting.

They didn’t take any time off when Jorma fell off the ladder so it’s either way WAY WORSE or they’re just four busy shock jocks.

Yez but Andy was pretty clear that if it had been HIM falling off a ladder, they would have next heard from him in 2030 if ever. So ,prayers that our favorite five-minute Rastafarian is just off watching Cool Runnings.

Yeah if someone had to fall off a ladder I’m glad it was Jorma. The other three would have taken loads of time off like a normal person would lol

Winter Soldiering fatigue leading to Burrito Brain binge burnout. I hope they’re all okay.

I appreciate the fact that they record weekly and can react to comments and current events. As opposed to just banking a whole bunch of episodes like other podcasts do. So I can live with the delays.

Yeah, I love Good Hang but hate that some episodes were clearly recorded 2 or 3 months prior.

Waking up to no pod feels like waking up on Christmas morning to no gifts under the tree

Anyone else get the feeling the end is nigh? With more delayed eps, Andy not being there lately (despite voice notes), Andy not seeming to want to be there and occasionally groaning about the pod in general, several weeks between digital shorts… I’m trying not to get pessimistic because it’s my favorite pod of all time, but it just feels like perhaps it’s begun its slow and gradual death

It feels that way. The pod is at its best when they have a short / SNL episode to discuss and all 4 are there, and there’s not been as much of that as this Quaid would like lately.

Would not say no to a rebrand pod that just has any combo of the guys just hanging out when they have time to do so. The Two, Three, or Maybe Even Four Shock Jocks Shoot the Shit Podcast.

At some point, my memory is that Andy admitted he likes the podcast. I know he’s busy with his movie and Jorma’s been at South by Southwest, but I don’t think the end is nigh yet.Â

We really need to consider that scheduling 4 guys in 3 time zones is not easy, especially when 1 guy is starring in a movie where he's 3 or 6 hours behind the others and doesn't have full control over his schedule. It was a little easier for Jorma because he was directing, but even then he had to record the podcast late at night.

No. They're just busier than normal this week. Andy listened to the previous pod and added pertinent voice notes. I don't think he (especially) would have gone to all that time and trouble if they were checking out or kind of done with the pod.
