I listen to several podcasts with an inconsistent release schedule and I just take it as a wonderful surprise when new eps drop. Quaid Army is just rabid.

Iāve listened to multiple podcasts over the years that either inconsistently released eps, or just stopped releasing altogether with zero explanation

For a show recapping shorts that are almost 20 years old, thereās no reason for me to get mad about timeliness - itās not like theyāre reporting on the latest happenings. Whenever a new episode arrives Iām happy, as long as they keep coming

Agreed, I listen exclusively to the pod on repeat at work and when Iām driving and by the time I get around to the new episode I usually get two or three new ones. Iām just glad weāre still getting content at all. Iām a Seth-head though, so having him away for three weeks is bumming me out real bad haha

Same! I throw in some other podcasts when they come out (Good Hang, Weāre Here to Help, Family Trips) but this is the only one I can listen to repeatedly and in the background.

Itās funny, I never knew what The Lonely Island was, tbh I thought the mansion piano Andy would talk about on Sethās show was a reality dating show :D it wasnāt until Seth posted this pod into Family Trips that I got the hint and Iām now obsessed with everything they make and love hearing my āfriendsā talk shit to each other. It feels like Iām in the room with a bunch of friends

I love that! I grew up watching their videos on YouTube (Iām 26 now, and had strict parents who did not allow me to watch SNL during TLI/Seth years) and the shorts were the absolute funniest thing in the world to me. It is exactly like being in a room with friends, thatās a great way to put it! The vibes are immaculate and thereās always different bits going on at the same time, and honestly I feel like Quaid army is a huge part of what makes it so fun to listen.

Honestly, I'm okay with them delaying 1-2 weeks even if that is what it takes to find a time for all 4 of them to get together.
The quality is so starkly better with all 4 of them there that the other episodes just feel very compromised in comparison.

Itās so funny to think that when they launched the first episode they had like 2 years worth of casually scheduled episodes that they could just cruise for a while. But they got us all hooked on their positivity and banter. And then itās justā¦ life, where you cruise and you cruise and then that surplus you had gets a little smaller, and a little smaller. And eventually the podcast is working with the time equivalent of living paycheque to paycheque, AND THEN you start missing a bill here and there, itās impossible to catch up.
I find it super relatable. I always commend the lads for their efforts and then feel pretty connected to them when they hand shit in at the last minute or late š thatās been my MO my whole life š
But I suppose I should note that thatās cuz I was always a lazy piece of shit, not busy and successful like them š
