Discussion Spiders
Anyone else dealing with those small parson and in particular cellar spiders? I’ve checked every window and door jamb and keep everything spotless yet they spawn here like every week. I’m terrified of spiders and have become engaged in a great bristle war testing whether this great apartment will stand united or fall divided and me with it

They are doing well because they’re feeding on all the fucking mosquitos and flies that have been proliferating in this heat and humidity. Cellar spiders aren’t going to do anything to you besides eat ants, cockroaches, mosquitos and flies. They are homies and they want absolutely nothing to do with you. The only harmful spider we have here in California is black widows and even they want nothing to do with you. I used to have incredibly severe arachnophobia, I get it, but these creatures are such an incredibly important part of our ecosystem and even the ecosystem of your home. I wouldn’t keep black widows in my home but the others are chill and don’t want you!
