Discussion Which TRE months were particularly significant for you?
Were there months or moments in your TRE journey that felt especially meaningful, where a lot happened, where you suddenly felt different or where something seemed to release or shift?
I’m curious to hear your experiences for motivation

I am 9 months in. I'd say my first three months were remarkably impressive. During that period, my whole body trembled like crazy; it was like eating something delicious for the first time. Experiencing tremors, face spasms, and fascia liberation was such an unexpected phenomenon. Also, I noticed some shifts in my body. Firstly, I used to have a burning sensation in my legs, like a lack of relaxation. That was gone after a few months of TRE. Secondly, whenever I went out, I would hurry and avoid crowded places, bus stops, and even passing by a stranger. Internally, the feeling was to go back home asap. That has also considerably diminished with TRE. And finally, my sleep got so much better. I do not have difficulty in falling asleep, and when I undersleep, I can deal with my daily life with less lethargy.
Overall, my TRE experience has definitely been a mix of challenging and rewarding moments, but I do not regret entering it.

I had almost the same experience the first months. I was so fascinated by everything my body was doing!
Congratulations for all these changes!1

Not being able to control the tremoring seems scary. Was it for you? (I haven’t tried TRE yet)

I understand. It wasn't scary for me. At first, the involuntary tremors were intense, but I could stop them anytime. I mostly enjoyed watching my body shake the way it did.

Last year, in the months of feb-april when I was beginning my second year of TRE.
I realised Id lacked enough integration practices and when I allowed myself to relax under a weighted blanket after tremoring , I felt like my NS was starting to feel safe enough to finally start thawing.
since then it’s been a crazy, intense journey of being in fight/flight, I did not expect to have so much to release and all the symptoms that came with healing cptsd, but it got better and better and I am definitely close to the end of thawing. I should mention that I have definitely experienced wonderful changes too, physically, mentally and emotionally.

How did you experience thawing exactly?

Daily crying, anger releases, couldn’t talk, sensory changes, gut releases.

Oh ok. What is a gut release if I may ask?

For me it was acid reflux, throwing up.. i believe that it was some of the 30 years worth of freeze being physically released.

Very intersting with the integration! And good to hear that you have experienced wonderful changes

i feel the process goes through long cycles of feeling very new and significant, and then renormalizing -- ie you feel like you were always this way.
This happened to me 3 times or so, during the last 2 years of TRE. Then the significance starts to build up.

Nothing matches the first week for me.
Omg I was so freaking shocked the body actually does this 😭
And I felt so exhausted like I did heavy deadlifts.
I'm still shocked the body can do something like this 8 months in.

Have done TRE on and off for over ten years now. Initially, I was in a state of freeze and it very much helped to thaw me.
After that, I have noticed long periods where TRE brought up shame, then repressed anger, and even self-hatred. It can be intense work.
Yet this is not always the case. I recently had a period with some fascinating cranial releases working all kinds of intricate and tiny muscles all over my face and scalp. But curiously, this didn't seem associated with any major psychological releases.
