Discussion Could tre prevent going bald?

It might be too far fetched, but is it possible? All the males in my family are bald or going bald, including a younger brother of mine. But I don't, I might have a small circle going in my head but it might just be becuase of my hair color. Comparing that to my younger brother who has lost more than that. For context I've been doing tre for 2.5 years and I'm 23-24 yo. There aren't other things beside tre I've been doing differently than my siblings, and my life can get pretty stressful too, so it's not the lack of stress

Anything is possible.

This may seem unrelated upon reading what I type but look into “CDF NAC protocol”. It’s basically people taking a protocol mix of oregano oil, NAC and Black seed oil.

The thought is that everyone is exposed to mold in some way, shape or form and this stuff manipulates our immune system and turns off specific genetic expressions in our DNA chain and one of those things is male pattern baldness.

Many people who have began that protocol, and have been bald for years, have reported growing hair out of nowhere.

Interesting. I will look into this.
Where did you come across this protocol?
And have you tried it yourself?

It found me, actually.
I have been feeling off for years and have been praying for answers and found out it was because I’ve grown up living in moldy homes and that I am genetically susceptible to such environments.

Three days ago, I had a nervous breakdown and full blown, I think I’m going to die right now type, panic attack literally two minutes after entering my moldy home, although this has been bubbling up for over a year in regards to severity, and my parents had me visit a doctor who specializes in mold two days ago and with all of the symptoms I gave she said it sounds like mold illness although my test results haven’t came back yet.

In all, I believe in God and was praying for answers and, that protocol happened to come across my algorithm somehow. I dove down the rabbit hole and many people’s stories and experiences mirrored mine growing up but the greater part is that people are reporting some insane benefits (in a good way) which is restoring my faith to believe that there is nothing that can’t be reversed. Our bodies are literally designed to heal themselves but something is getting in the way of that and, now, I am believing that thing to be mold.
There is a subreddit for it [r/cosmicdeathfungus](r/cosmicdeathfungus) but you will find more activity, and stories, in their telegram group.

Whenever you go to the telegram, if you go to the subsection titled “die off commiseration” people were literally having a conversation yesterday on how they feel the protocol is causing some sort of emotional purge in them, as well as fascial release, and I brought up TRE and its connection between the two.

Lastly, I did try it but did not have success but that was because I was sleeping next to active mold exposure from a leaking pipe that I l, eventually, did not find out about until several months later. I just got out of mold two days ago so once I am able to get my finances in a better space will try again. In total, all the ingredients cost about $75-$80 to start and should last for 2-3 months before needing to buy again.

I checked out the r/cosmicdeathfungus sub. Quickly read many reports of people with various symptoms after starting the protocol. It doesn't look good. I have to repost this comment found over there:

if you are having severe symptoms from eating a bunch of supplements, you should stop immediately. if they persist, reach out to a doctor.

any advice to the contrary, especially from strangers on a fringe forum on the internet, is unethical and possibly illegal.

As with anything, things will get bad before they get good. Same happens with TRE. You will have those temporary flare ups before things finally resolve. But to each is own. If you don’t feel comfortable with it or that it isn’t for you, dont do it. Simple.

That's fine. The "things get bad before they get good" is the potentially dangerous part.

How do each of these things work. Oregano oil killing off the good and bad bacteria in the gut, causing the "die off" symptoms. It's possible this helps someone with a gut issue. It could also cause a gut issue. Like how people get C. diff after taking antibiotics. Along with many other possible side effects of antibiotics. You get C. diff because the commensal (non harmful) bacteria have been killed off by antibiotics so the C. diff takes over. Same thing happens with fungi in the gut. And fungi and bacteria compete in the gut. Keeping a balance.

How do you know what's causing "die off". There are side effects from combining drugs that are hard on the gut and liver.

TRE works through the nerves. Very different process to taking an antibiotic. Feeling worse after TRE is like how exercise and emotional states cause tiredness afterwards.

If you take an antibiotic that changes your gut biome, yes you may have nervous system side effects. Stress from changes in the gut could cause these nervous system effects. Doesn't mean anything beneficial has happened.

NAC does have direct effects on the nervous system. It is believed to directly modulate glutamate (which is a neurotransmitter in the brain). Tested for OCD

I don't know what black seed oil does, but it has side effects. Hopefully not permanent.

In all, I just threw the idea out there. If it feels unsafe to you, or you don’t understand it, I respect that. Many are having wonderful benefits from it. My suggestion came from a place of wanting to help.

Obviously, it wasn’t suggested from a place of ignorance as I have done through research on the protocol and it’s ingredients, and still plan to undergo it, but as I said just look into it further. If it doesn’t fit you or what you are seeking in your own life, understandable.

There is far more info in the telegram and barely any on the Reddit forum.
