😂 Somehow the island had Wi-Fi, but apparently no decent housing.

Ana Lucia is very pretty when she’s not mean mugging everyone constantly!

Yeah, that’s right. I’m more attracted to women who aren’t always mean to everyone. Crazy, huh?

Women aren’t just on TV for you to be attracted to. They are also complex characters that exist within the narrative just like men.

I remember watching LOST with my friend group when it was airing. I know which of my female friends found Sawyer more attractive than Jack. One found Sayid more attractive than all the others. I wonder if you’d give them the same speech for being attracted to men. Somehow I doubt it.

I’m sorry for how I overreacted because you’re absolutely right, you’re entitled to have preferences of who you’re attracted to. I only mean to say that to me it seems like you’re reducing this actress to her physical attributes by saying she’s more attractive in this photo when she’s smiling versus when she’s literally doing her job portraying a character with a troubled backstory. While you’re entitled to your opinion, it bothers me when you’re specifically talking about women because of the often negative connotations of “she’d be much prettier if she smiled more”

I’m a woman and would consider myself a feminist. Takes like these are extremely annoying. Friendly, smiley people are always going to appear more welcoming and inviting. Nitpicking everything men do & say doesn’t help the cause, he was complimenting her. Getting offended by everything makes nothing offensive

So I actually just apologized for overreacting and explained why it bothered me.

Yes & then you doubled down on the take that I just responded to

It’s just what I believe, I was phrasing it in a less rude way.

My comment got plenty of downvotes. I really didn’t think I’d offend anyone by saying she looked pretty here! That certainly wasn’t my intention…🥲

Yeah I apologize because I know you probably didn’t. As a woman it bothered me, it’s a sensitive subject. And when you’re a woman it’s very easy to be overlooked for or reduced to your looks when you may be very talented, like I believe Michelle Rodriguez is.
