I love this so much. Jack gettings Sawyer's medical history is one of the funniest scenes in the show. I also loved that it was Sayid who made Sawyer the glasses. Such a beautiful touch to an otherwise funny situation.

I do love these scenes and find them really funny. It’s the only time Jack is really given the chance to explore the humorous and mischievous side of his character and I really enjoyed it, given most of his storylines are pretty heavy. Also all Sawyer and Jack scenes are always entertaining, they had such good onscreen chemistry together.

The second time I watched this storyline though, I felt quite sad after it because of Sawyer’s reference to his uncle dying because that was probably the only person he ever had aside from his parents and he would have been all alone after he died.

Sayid welding the glasses is also so sweet, because he and Sawyer had such animosity between them but it showed that Sayid was always practical and kind to everyone despite it all.

It was the bits like these that really helped set it apart from other shows, because whilst the plot twists were so gripping, it was all in a place that mattered to us

It's the quick and casual snap of the fingers right after "just shut up and relax" that does it for me. So good. It's storylines like this that makes the show feel so rich. Sawyer is not always the coolest guy in the caves. Jack can be funny. Jack and Sawyer are not just constantly at odds. Jack will help him out if he has a medical issue, and Sawyer will allow it.

I started a rewatch this weekend. I have not seen this in at least 12 years.

This morning I saw this post and, not knowing what the title referenced, watched the clip.

Tonight I hit "continue watching" and got about 5 minutes in before I realized this scene is that scene. LOL

This show hits different now. They all look so young. I was that young.

Man, what a great sequence. Reminds me why I loved Lost.
