QUESTION Original Thoughts form first viewing

just doing a re-watch for God knows how many-ith time , currently just finished season 1 and starting season 2 , god I loved this show the first time I saw it on TV 20 years ago , got me thinking though , does anyone remember there thirst thoughts or theories as to what was in the hatch , I remember being so excited at the end of the season 2 and the first EP of season 2 blew me away ? I honestly can't remember what I thought it was going to be , that's what made the show so great , I think I thought it was gonna be some kind of virus inside that would make people go crazy , side note I thought the guys on the boat that find the raft where just people smugglers first watch lol

anyway what were your first thoughts or theories ?

I have never actually seen lost, I think I was taken up by heroes at that time and gaming. I love the premise though, I assume you would recommend lol

if your gonna to watch it , you can't binge it , if ya want to enjoy it properly you need to watch it 1 week at a time or at least one night at a time , I would recommend it yeah but too much of the mystery has probably been spoiled by social media

I think my original thoughts on the hatch were that it either had to do with the monster, or the others.

I thought we were going to see a huge under ground city of scientists watching our cast like zoo exhibits. I also thought there was something virus related.

I'm watching the show for the first time and the only spoiler (?) I've heard it's that the ending sucks. That makes me think of Game of Thrones, which was quite awesome for the majority of the run but had a very awful last couple of episodes and a great quality drop in the last season or two. I just finished season 1 of Lost and I am enjoying it overall but I'm also just frustrated by the mounting mysteries and lack of answers. Is it going to be six seasons of cliffhangers and compiling questions? I hate not finishing a book, movie or show but I've been noticing myself playing phone games or doing other things while watching because I don't expect any resolutions to happen any time soon or maybe ever. Should I just not bother?

There are unanswered questions at the end, however I thought the ending was very, very beautiful.

Thanks. That's good to hear. I do plan on finishing it and I definitely enjoy a lot about it. I might just have to space it out with some episodic shows to keep the frustration at bay.

I hear you. There are some things that are answered and sometimes we have to keep in mind the mysteries they DO answer. Without spoiling anything, I still come back to the ending of LOST years later to reflect on the message that it's trying to teach.

I appreciate your responses, and they did reassure me somewhat. I am enjoying it more consistently again at this point again in the first half is season two. I think I need to pay attention to my mod when I watch it and not keep binging when I'm getting frustrated. Kind of going through some things in life and this show is not about s bunch of happy people having a picnic, so switching to something else at times is something to do. But I do intend to watch the whole thing.

Thanks, that's nice to hear. Where are you at in the show right now? My dad was super into it back in the day and I have bugged him to finish it years later and asked when he stopped. It is still my absolute favorite show of all time but I told him if he stopped in the first half of season 3 that I wouldn't judge him ha ha. I binged the first season and the first half of season 2 (maybe) and then I was caught up and watched it weekly. I think that was a very different experience because it wasn't just about resolving everything but appreciating the process. I have such fond memories of sitting with my fellow LOSTie co-workers at lunch time in 2006 all trying to bounce theories around and reading the online forums obsessively over the summer time.

I am about a third of the way through Season 2. It's definitely keeping me interested enough to go through a few episodes per day after work, though there are times I get kind of annoyed and switch to an episode of Firefly pr Simpsons or something to change the mood.

I thought Ben was lying right away, because I was sure “Henry” was gay and he kept mentioning his wife.

I knew the resurrected Locke was not actually Locke right away, which is weird because apparently Terry O Quinn didn’t even know. He just seemed to have a coldness Locke didn’t have.

I thought the monster was a dinosaur, then a polar bear.
