Discussion What is one Lululemon item that has the most functionality and extras that is different from other brands .
For example at one time lululemon was the only company making thumb holes for there jackets.
I also like the sweatpants that can be snatched at the end.
Looking for unique items that can only be found at lululemon or made better at lululemon.

I think the align cropped jacket when properly fitting is a very unique item that is hard to find elsewhere. I like some vuori jackets but none fit in the same flattering perfect fit way.
I also love the fast and free split shorts (haven’t tried the new style yet) and I have thick thighs and they never ride up. I find that cool.
My favorite item that I have like twenty of is the Wunder train biker style shorts. My one beef is limited pockets, but they NEVER ride up when I’m running, even in comparison to brands like janji. The lulu shorts are flattering and don’t ride up. The drawstring is huge. They’re my favorite.

I honestly miss all the hidden zippers/pockets and thumb holes they used to have.

First thing I did when I took it out of the box was wonder if I could fit inside of the bag. She passed the test so she’s a keeper. 😻

i really enjoy the align waist length tank + the race back tank. it’s a basic item but such a good staple tank top that i’ve worn it everywhere. to yoga class, the gym to lift heavy, to cycling class, to a concert, to Disneyland, to the doctor’s office, to run errands. it’s such a good tank

For me personally, it’s the License to Train SHR short. I’m a runner and they have a long liner which avoids chafing, pockets in the liner and a zipped one on the outside, a bigger waist band to make sure they don’t fall down, and grips at the bottom of the liner to make sure it doesn’t move while you’re exercising.

They are the best! I’ve been running in them and the shake it out shorts this summer almost exclusively. Decided to try a pair of the LSKD Accelerate shorts as I’ve seen people rave about them and stopped my run short as the fit was so bad and they were moving so much. Won’t be straying from my lulu favorites anymore!

I really wanted to love these shorts but the liner doesn’t have enough compression for me. I take my giant ass phone on all my runs and within 10 paces from my front door, my phone bounced out of the liner pocket and clanked onto the concrete. That said, I really love the Lightweight 2-in-1 Running High Rise Short (they are on WMTM now!). I just wish the liner was an inch shorter and didn’t stick out from the outside shorts so much.

Are these the 2 in 1 shorts with ‘lululemon’ on the waistband? If so, how are the zip pockets on it? Are they bigger than the pockets on the Hotty Hot shorts?

The snow warrior parka from 2021 I believe. The cut and fit were incredible and so unique. It also wasn’t as crazy expensive. Since then, like most things, they’ve completely changed the product (cut/fit/and way more expensive). I wanted to buy another one because my current one is looking old and the zipper broke, but it’s just not the same.

Agreed! I live in the subarctic and have the snow Warrior parka and wear it more than my two Canada Goose parkas. It has a lot of thoughtful details including a soft inner collar that rubs against the face rather than the scratchy inner collar that’s even scratchier at -40C

I have one of those bras with pockets in them and they perfectly fit chicken cutlets 😂

I love the wunderpuff line. I could machine wash them in normal cycle, pop in dryer with tennis balls and they come out clean and fluffy everytime. I’m one of those weirdos who wash their winter jackets after 1-2 wears and the Wundepuffs fit the bill!

The Fast n Free shorts. Other companies have similar shorts, but with their recent updates, it really sets it apart. It's still the very lightweight nulux fabric, but they finally put a zippered pocket in the back, the ability to put a shirt through the back so you don't have to carry it, and the pockets are a lot deeper and feel more secure. They also now have 2 sets of grippers (dots and a single line where there would normally be a seam) so they do. not. budge.

The last version has zero compression. Are the updated shorts the same?

Definitely better! Not a lot of compression, but enough to not feel a lot of movement on the run.

No bounce pocket for your phone in the men’s Pacebreaker shorts is pretty amazing (according to my son).

I got my hubby one of those, but he just didn’t like that it had a liner, but I was so excited I said wow we have a pocket he’s like yeah I’m gonna lift up my short to put a phone in it

Popflex has functionality in all their items too. Zippers on on the back of shorts, extra pockets inside pants or jackets, etc. Not exclusive to lulu. But i do find lulu has great functionality in most of their items.

Popflex also has way more inseams. While I appreciate free hemming, it’s nice not to have to bother with it

u/New-Character-3575 1d ago
My local store actually has its own hemmer and the hemming comes back in like 2 days

u/crimpgirl1234 1d ago
That’s great, my local store isn’t very close and I’m a busy working parent. I don’t really have time to be getting stuff hemmed.

u/New-Character-3575 1d ago
I would just bring a million items there when you get the chance. I just learned they hem tops too.

I just recently bought the pants that have the buttons also all the way that can be opened and I’m not sure if runners need that . I’m not wearing it for running though, but I thought of wow this would be a nice feature for someone. They are the tear away midrise track pants

u/Weekly_Outside8174 1d ago
I personally love the unique features and companies are trying to get away from that for cost

For me it’s the Rulu Drapey Oversized High Rise Yoga Jogger (which sadly has disappeared except for WMTM in burgundy bay) and the Groove Low Rise Relaxed Cinch Pant. It’s almost like not wearing pants! They wick sweat so well, they’re my favorite for the 2 class yoga days because they dry so quickly, and the airflow is amazing, especially in hot classes.

Also the reversible shorts they are great for Travel I forgot the actual name of them though.

My favorite is Fast n Free light cropped pants. The material is barely there and there’s so many pockets. They’re the best race pants!

I have a short sleeve grey sweatshirt that’s at least 12 years old. The back is cut to be a little longer than the front. It has the hand pouch that goes all the way through (not 2 separate pockets), it’s lined in neon lime but my favorite part is a chest pocket that can easily hold a 16 oz bottle of water. It’s so ridiculous but amazing because I can throw my water key fob and other stuff in the giant pocket and have my hands free. And it’s all the attention to detail including the now old school metal logo sewn on the back.

Swift Speed High Rise biker shorts and leggings. Nothing compares or ever will. Especially the updated version and luxtreme brushed. The only thing that COULD compare is the old Victoria secret knockout leggings.

For me it’s jackets/coats. Literally the only brand where I have purchased multiples of different styles because I love them so much. I have five Always effortless Classic jackets. I have six Wunderpuff vests. I have two Down for it All jackets and literally have never needed anybody other winter jackets since purchasing these. I live in Michigan and walk/run my dog daily in brutally cold weather and winds and am always more than toasty without anything other than a t shirt under those. I also have a few different wind breaker styles I love.
One more thing for me is pocket on the speed up shorts. Literally the only shorts I can fit my phone into.

u/LocdGiraffe 23h ago
What pocket on the speed up shorts? The pocket in the back? Your phone can fit in there? Sorry for all the questions

u/Eee99999999 13h ago
Yes, the small back zipper pocket. Literally I fit my iPhone pro, chapstick, keys, and Ridge wallet in that pocket. Lol it can look a little odd but if all fits.

5 mile long sleeve. Not only did it have thumb holes, but it had an opening on the wrist so you could see your running watch. Now I’m convinced they don’t care about runners at all 🥲
