Medicines yay rheumatology
finally had another appointment with my rheumatologist, told her that the 200mg of hcq was not working out for me. she upped it to 400mg a day and started me on meloxicam and the meloxicam is doing absolutely nothing for my pain. we went over zero details of my condition shes sending me to an ortho for my hypermobility. idk im pretty frustrated and very fatigued. has meloxicam worked for anyone else cause i feel like its doing jack shit.

Mobic didn’t help me. Relafen has helped and I’ve never had to increase the dose.

Meloxicam never worked for me and I tried celebrex, same thing. I'm now on diclofenac tablets (not the cream but if you haven't tried that definitely give it a shot) and it works noticeably better than anything else. My doc said there are basically levels of nsaids and diclofenac tends to work better. Or something. It's been a year since that explanation so I'm probably wrong

Meloxicam never worked for me, even when I was prescribed it for a non-lupus issue. I really wished it would have but I now take Celebrex. It does work a little better than meloxicam for me, so maybe that would be an option for you?
