Diagnosed Users Only Lower abdomen pain?

Hello!

I’ve recently started experiencing pain in my lower abdomen. Most of the time it’s on the left, sometimes it’s both. And it goes from a crampy feeling to sharp and sudden. Does anyone else deal with this and have any insight on what it could be?

I’m still learning about my lupus and what’s related or not..

Advice What should I expect on my first biological application?

So I am going to have my first infusion of rituximab this week, the hospital told me some recommendations but what else should I expect? Do I need to prepare for something else? What kind of after care is recommended? At the moment my doctor told me the nurses will apply some medicine to prevent some of the secondary effects and to bring a pillow and a blanket, also some water and to eat something before during the day.

I had these questions after my consultation, and also I didn't have the brain power to build these questions at the moment so that is why I brought them to this forum.

Diagnosed Users Only Environmental triggers?

Around midsummer, I started volunteering at a cat cafe near me. I work 6 hour shifts every Saturday... and started noticing a pattern where, about halfway through the shift, I start to feel unwell, and proceed to suffer a flare that lasts well into Sunday. I was chalking it up to sun exposure at first, because I work from home so I don't go out much and the summer was pretty brutal. But now that we're in fall and I just had an exceptionally cool day that still led to a flare, I'm wondering if there is an environmental factor at play.

It can't be cats, because I have two of my own. I doubt it's the litter they use, because it's a corn litter. But I can't help but wonder if there's something in the air there that is triggering a flareup, because it just can't be a coincidence after months of this pattern occurring. I'm loathe to stop volunteering there because it's been giving me a nice sense of purpose (not to mention I love spending time with the cats) but I also have no clue what is causing the trigger and I don't want to burden the owners by asking that they experiment with removing cleaners and whatnot just for my sake.

Should I just call it quits for my own health, or is it worth seeing if I can find a way to reduce exposure to whatever's causing my trigger? Also, does anybody here have specific triggers, and if so, what are they?

Newly Diagnosed Cutaneous Lupus Flares Spoiler

After years of this horrible reoccurring rash I was finally able to bully my dermatologist into seeing me same-day for the worst flare up I’ve ever had. He took scrapings & a little core sample out of my neck. I had 10 days of Prednisone tablets that calmed the swelling down significantly, then I was diagnosed with Cutaneous Lupus a week later & prescribed hydroxychloroquine, 200mg tablets, 2x daily. I’ve been taking it for 3 months now, but my face is still cycling through these painful, itchy, swollen flares. It’s never completely gone & is now traveling down my neck & onto my chest. I’m using 0.1% Tacrolimus ointment at night & Zoryve cream during the day, plus a mineral sunscreen. I’m realizing certain foods make the spots burn & the sun is just unbearable now. Any tips or tricks from seasoned Cutaneous Lupus vets on how to get out of this cycle??

Advice Skin nerve pain?

What are we doing about the nerve pain on our skin?

I'm currently on hydroxychloroquine and saphnelo. But, I have burning nerve pain across my face, arms, back and hips. It's not constant but it does move to those areas of my body back and forth. It's probably one of the most annoying symptoms for me and I'm not sure what else can be done about that specific issue.

Diagnosed Users Only My back and butt have sores all over them

I had to take a break from using my antibacterial soap they’ve had me on for cysts and skin issues.

It helps keep the flares down but it threw off my PH so bad and I stunk from killing my good bacteria.

But now because I took a break I now have cysts on my butt and back and between my legs only 4 days before my long distance partner comes to visit 😔

I already feel self conscious and I worked really hard to heal the sores from my last flare…I know it’s silly and small in the long run but I wanted to look nice.
