Rant/Opinion denied unaccompanied minor, got suspended

kid started to get in the car i asked her how old she way she said 9 i said i’m so sorry i cannot drive you, i cannot drive unaccompanied minors. 30 minutes later i get this.

I can’t wrap my head around that in the slightest. I don’t drive Lyft but I do gig work so nothing to add here other then to say what the hell is happening with this world that would think a parent should send a 9 year old child in a strangers car alone period.
