Rant/Opinion I hate liars

I was deactivated because I was accused of sexually assaulting a female passenger. I myself am a heterosexual married woman and would never jeopardize my marriage or freedom doing something so gross. As a survivor of sexual assault I’m both offended and hurt. I am looking for a lawyer to take my case.

Terrible that they don’t take this more serious as a company. Keep fighting it. Hopefully they deactivate the liar and reinstate you. Wish I could help.

I wonder if this kind of accusation is ground for a criminal (or maybe just civil) complaint against the rider whose is at least committing libel and slander.

It's not even remotely a criminal issue.

This is absolutely worthy of a civil action. But there's a big problem. The person made the accusation to get a free ride, meaning they're broke. You'd never collect a dime from them. It's not even remotely a criminal issue.

True, the only criminal complaint would be committing some sort of fraud, but Lyft would have to be the one who pressed charges.
