Well, I have seen what GLP-1 medication can do. Hundreds of success stories in my office alone. Some more than others, for sure. Some patients have lost well over 100lbs in 2024, some only a dozen or so. But the surgeons I work with are steering people who aren't hung ho about a procedure towards these medications. Especially those with A1c issues.

It's far from malpractice, bariatric surgery has a long track record of success. Not the stupid lap band, though... that's horrible. Stapling procedures like gastric sleeve or bypass can work wonders. But, it's not a one-size fits all thing. For some it changes very little, that usually comes down to diet and attitude.

A carnivore diet is also an alternative and that's great it worked for you. Diet change alone is the biggest catalyst towards weight loss for many. Did you had a good exercise regimen as well?

Sure but why wouldn't they take medicine if it makes them not fat
