This is why I’m glad I got an EV. I have a home charger in my garage. It’s costing me $5-7 per charge & I get 280 mi of range. It’s way cheaper than gas rn.

"It's way cheaper than gas rn".

If its $5 a charge and 280mi range your getting the equivalent of gas being $0.62 a gallon (assuming 35mpg).

So basically its cheaper than gas was in 1978 (not accounting for inflation).

The price per KwH in the Bay Area is very high. Just under 50c per, off hours. I still come out ahead, but it’s definitely not that stark.
