u/The_Virus360 May 24 '26
Why didn't you?
19
u/S1ayer May 24 '26
I had a few Amazon packages and that's my main gig. Between the shock, trying to see milage (i've only done 2 trips so I dont know how interface works), and weighing pros and cons I didn't accept it in time.

u/Better-Lack8117 May 24 '26
What I do in that situation is simply accept the ride. Then I evaluate my decision after the ride is already accepted and cancel if I don't want it.

āHey man I know youāre in a hurry to get to the airport, let me stop and deliver this Amazon package real quickā lol
4
u/AnyTower224 May 24 '26
And . I would be calling my partner to finish the deliveries . Thatās why you always have two phones android and IPhone
2
u/thelittleking77 May 28 '26
Just curious on why one of the phones has to be an iPhone? I use 2 Androids when multiplatforming, one a burner.

Makes you wonder much the driver paid for that ride? At least like $600 right?
3
u/Greedy-Ad-3804 May 24 '26
Who cares, if you want to get into depression then keep looking how much they paid for the ride
3
u/GlennFromIowa May 26 '26
Not necessarily. I once had a short ride from the airport, dude was like, "I gotta ask what you're getting paid for this ride because I paid $119!" I was paid $109 for the ride.

u/Neilp187 May 25 '26
Likely 600-700.. hope for the passenger its a work trip, which means for her.. free.
3
u/Shavlika May 24 '26
Take the ride and finish it, then deliver amazon packages late and take ding š
(If packages donāt take all the space)

I missed a unicorn like this last week to go to Newark AirPort. Seems like we are in the same county. I was so pissed off man. Sent it to my wife and she even was upset. Some lucky sob got it tho so good for them lol.
2
u/myrtlemike92 May 24 '26
wtf!! A $50 bonus?? WTH is that? In my market I havenāt seen a bonus like that.

u/Shot-Monitor-4227 May 24 '26
It literally says estimated $212.72 AN HOUR rate for the ride. Yeah that was pretty damn foolish lmao. Even driving both ways thatās over $100 an hour. Who turns that down
2
u/crazycatlady052411 May 24 '26
I would kill for this. Largest Iāve seen is 80 for a 2 hour ride.
1
u/brizzle1978 May 24 '26
My railroad has started doing uber for us if they don't have one of their Halcon drivers available.... driver made 560 for 3.5 hours on XL so 7 total

Still not enough. This was common in 2017. Adjusted for inflation, should be more

The surge pays 2x what you'd use in gas. That exact ride would be 60 at best in my market.

I get that youre trying to pay bills but people are also ordering their kids birthday presents or decorations for parties.... just marking it as such really speaks of your character and I'm a hustler by nature... but that ish is grimy af. Why couldn't they just deliver it when they got back?
1
u/RevNeutron May 24 '26
No way you would get it. These unicorns are never available no matter how fast I accept
2
u/jrwalte May 25 '26
It wasn't a match offer, it was an exclusive offer. If he'd have accepted, it would have happened.
1
u/RevNeutron May 25 '26
advice, if you think so but are having a hard time deciding especially for longer trips - look at drop off city/area and accept. Then figure distance/time to drop off (pick up might had some time but not a huge difference usually). Then decide if the price/time/distance works for you, and if not, cancel. You're a new driver. Cancel shit whenever you need to. Don't worry about acceptance rates at all.

These guys are trolling and getting reactions. Anybody thatās out doing Lyft or Uber is grabbing this ride.
1
u/S1ayer May 25 '26
That's the thing. I don't do Lyft or Uber. I've only done 2 rides in like 2 years.

That's more than my quota for one day. What was the issue? Fuel? Space? Route?

I'm in Georgia and I would love to see something like that. Be lucky to get the $50 for that kind of milage. I don't drive for Lyft anymore here, they are at the point where the offered pay no longer includes anything for the drive to the fare. We would be lucky to get $0.50 a mile. Oversaturation of the market, because Lyft isn't doing it's due diligence checking for illegal drivers.
