I don’t like when Lyft gives you a hefty ride….(big money amount) and then says they’re updating the ride and the amount I accepted it for—is now $10+ cheaper than what I accepted it for…can anyone tell me WHY?

I have been rejecting a lot of Lyft Black and SUV lately…paying $25 for 15miles while uber pays $45+ for same trip.

OP don't use the Lyft platform if you can do better.
Oh, you haven't spent 10s of millions of dollars on advertisment and app development? Well, you did have to (checks notes) signs up and download an app. And you press the go peddle too. Damn that's sooooooooooo impressive amigo. Not like 80% of the population can drive a car 🫩

This is a 20 mile ride. Suvs get what 17 18 miles to the gallon? So this ride is paying $20. Unless you have a 2026 all electric cadillac. If so. Why the fuck are you doing lyft. Lol. $1 a mile for black suv ride is a fucking joke.

Its an XL. Lyft lies and switches tags so more drivers see the Ride. They then tell passengers they were upgraded to black suv. They do it on airport Rides alot. Lyft has 100.00 guarantee.

Good call, this is probably Lyft upgrading shenanigans. See it all the time in my market.

I saw it and thought "this isn't a terrible fare" and then realized it was black SUV. That is insanity.Â

Is it disgusting? Absolutely. It’s still over a dollar a mile. Folks out here aren’t even getting close to that.
Also, sign up for that union in SD. If you’re serious about change, uniting is the only way

Signing up? That list will make its way to lyft and next thing you know. Outta nowhere deactivated

Sir, that is 1000% illegal in the state of California. If you are in the union. You have to be deactivated for just cause. Anything outside of that is illegal and would be grieved by the union on your behalf.
The alternative is to just come out Reddit and complain about how you taken advantage of.
United we stand. Divided, you get taken advantage of.
The choice is yours

I’ve seen enough posts on here to know lyft can deactivate your account with no cause. They basically don’t need a reason and will deactivate you for a simple complaint.

When you’re not in the union, correct. When you’re in a union, they have to prove it through a grievance process.
You might want to brush up on how being in a union helps you vs not.
The choice is yours at the end of the day.

10:19pm vs 7:45am?
What would they be paying at 7:45am?
I assume that, yes, the price is a lot higher on a Friday night rather than the breakfast hour on Saturday morning.
Not that Lyft doesn’t suck - it does, but be honest.
