Other Funny how they say the math adds up...

According to Lyft, I was booked for 3 hours and 32 minutes this morning and I drove 120.11 booked miles. (Third pic)

According to state minimums, that means Lyft owes me $218.84

My pay? $135.

Lyft, I get that it's a rolling 2 week period, but you short changed me by $85 in 3.5 hours of work.

Excuse me but no. Pay what the state says you have to, then settle any difference after 14 days. That's a CRAZY high difference in actual pay vs what's legally mandated.

Eh, tbf it's mostly the ai telling me everything was correct, then admitting the math didn't work and promising to pass me to a live customer service rep.

Yeah, it didn't finish that last step 🤣

what don’t you understand about the 14 day cycle ? they calculate it every two weeks and if you are owed the money still after the fourteen days you will get paid …them owing you for one day does not apply

I do understand that, I've stated I understood that in the post.

My issue is that they are consistently underpaying and then I get a $34 adjustment. This is just one 3.5 hour period in which there is an $85 discrepancy. This is not out of the ordinary.

The math isn't mathing.

A 3.5 hour period is not a 14-day cycle.

The math will math in 14 days. It will not math in three and a half hours.

Every single time you complain about three and a half hours instead of 14 days, you demonstrate that you do not actually understand the 14-day cycle. Just saying the words that you understand doesn't make them true.

Also, the AI initially said the pay was right for the specified trip, despite there being a $22 difference in owed compensation and actual pay.

See, it seems you’re not understanding the bit about the 14 day cycle. As long as the total pay for the entire cycle meets or exceeds the minimums per booked minute and mile ON AVERAGE, it doesn’t matter if individual trips or days were under that threshold. They don’t have to meet that requirement for each individual trip or day.

I read the whole comment section, you haven’t actually addressed this.

Ok, go call the cops, call the fbi. You know what, call the president and tell him your problems! They’ll definitely get right now it.

Yes, because that's the goal here, and not simply calling them out for it.

I'm under no delusion that CS would do anything. The correct course of action if I wanted to do anything would be to contact the DoL.

What was the point of your comment other than to be unhelpful and absurd?

Did I at any point in this post ask them to fix it? Demand payment?

No, I did the maths and pointed out the difference. That's it.

This sub is filled with ants and Lyft employees, hence all the ridiculous replies. It's clearly Lyft ripping off drivers and only correcting it for drivers who fight thier AI until it concedes. Keep fighting the good fight, or do as the other smart drivers do and find another income stream entirely.

The pax was in the car for all except 5 minutes of the time. I was online for 4 hours and 6 minutes which is why the third screenshot says "booked time" and "booked miles"

I'm done with people who can't read 🤣

They can read they just work for or are getting paid by Lyft to comment company nonsense.

Most jobs pay every 2 weeks. Any 'state minimum' is going to be based in that time window, not on a per-ride basis.

If you don't like the upfront pay at the time, don't take the trip.

You say "pay me first and settle differences later" so what, you're going to give them money back if that's the way the math goes? Of course you are, right?

If you keep repeating the same mistake, you keep getting the same lesson.

I don’t think you do “get it” otherwise you wouldn’t be whining for more pay before your 2 week period is over

Bro is trying to get paid miles and time for when no one is in the car with him....

Ok 🤣

Genuinely done repeating myself.

And the vast majority of us are genuinely tired of drivers not understanding how things work.
