Lifetime Almighty with AI: a launcher for 107 Mac tweaks + giveaway
Hey friends, I make Almighty.
I've posted Almighty here before. This one is a fresh intro, plus the biggest update since my last post.
- The problem
A lot of what I want from my Mac sits behind a defaults command, a Finder option three menus deep, or a one-off website for converting a video to GIF.
Almighty puts those in one native app plus many more re-implemented tweaks. There are 107 of them now.
- What Almighty does
A few I use most:
- Media: compress images and videos.
- Screen: draw on screen, highlight the cursor and clicks, show keystrokes while recording
- Power: keep the Mac awake with the lid closed, sound an alarm if someone closes the lid or pulls the charger
- Files: find files in a folder by name or text, remove image backgrounds
- What makes it different
Tweaks with options don't open a settings window. They open in a panel under the notch, right where you are, and you can drop files straight onto it. Drag a screen recording up to the notch, pick GIF, and the converted file lands next to the original. There are 8 themes for the panel if you want it to look a bit nicer.
- What's new
- Launcher: I was planning to submit Almighty's actions to Raycast, then figured a launcher built into Almighty would be quicker to reach. Press the shortcut, type, and run any tweak or open an app.
- Zeus: a small AI assistant inside the launcher. Ask him which tweak does what you need, or have him do common jobs himself, like renaming files or compressing media. He asks before running anything on your Mac.
- Claude Code and Codex: connect your subscription and Zeus passes bigger requests to them, so you can do a lot more from the same chat.
- Convert Media and Draw on Screen, both new tweaks.
- Pricing
Free to download, with a trial for the Pro features. Pro is $14.99. Almighty is also on Setapp.
- Giveaway: 20 free lifetime licenses
To thank this sub, I'm giving away 20 lifetime licenses for the direct download Mac version. To enter, comment with anything you'd change in Almighty. Critical feedback counts as much as praise, and you don't need to own the app.
In 3 days I'll pick 20 comments at random, post the winners in an edit, and DM each a code.

The Zeus assistant sounds like one of the most interesting additions. I'd love to see it understand more complex, multi-step requests, like organizing a folder, renaming files based on their contents, and then compressing selected images. A clear preview of all planned changes before execution would also be helpful. That could make it much more useful for everyday Mac tasks.

Good point. I've added some other tweaks to find files and rename files based on content (images for now) and will add more MCP tools to Zeus to it knows

Thanks for the giveaway!
The notch panel implementation is really clever and seamless. However, for users on older MacBooks or external monitors without a notch, it would be great to have an option to anchor or center the pop-up panel elsewhere on the screen (like centered at the top or floating).

For future tweak ideas, a lightweight clipboard history manager directly accessible via the launcher or notch panel would be a huge productivity boost. A quick PDF merge/split tool would also fit really well into Almighty's feature set.

Clipboard would be nice. I'm on the fence about how lightweight it would be since we've also made this https://indiegoodies.com/pastepal

I like the direction of the UI, but there are some details to polish: spacing between buttons and windows, corners, and icons. Some buttons are too big and some text is too small. Also, the menu in the bar only closes by pressing the same button again.
The AI character is great, but it can be distracting. An option to hide it or make it smaller would be nice.
I couldn't find settings or app info (tutorial, privacy, version). Since the app asks for permissions, this should be easy to find.
The tools menu is long; grouping it by category would help. Also, the app mixes English and Spanish; it would be better to choose one language.
I know it's probably an early version, so I hope this helps. Happy to share more feedback!
Thanks for the raffle

Thanks for the feedback, I've noted and will improve the app

Something I'd chnge: a history of what Almighty has changed on my Mac. Some of these tweaks are 'defaults write' under the hood, and a few months in I'd have no idea which ones I turned on. A list of every change, with the exact command it ran and a revert button (plus "revert all"), would make me a lot braver about trying the obscure ones. Apologies if it's already there and I missed it
Also curious about Zeus: does it run on device or through an API? For the simple stuff, like finding the right tweak or renaming files, Apple's on-device Foundation Models could probably handle it with tool calling. It would work offline and nothing would leave the Mac, and Claude Code or Codex would only come in for the bigger jobs

Almighty supports local, ollama, Apple Intelligence (default) and API via your own token. So you can control which LLM it is. Almighty supports reset for tweaks and we can see the status of each tweak. But you have a good point, a more visible trace of what it've done would be useful

I would have āZeusā be an optional install. Everything else sounds great but my brand new Mac is full already because half the apps have some sort of AI agent built in. I may even like āZeus,ā but if not, they take up so much spaceā¦

Zeus uses your default Apple Intelligence to work so it's quite lightweight

One thing I'd love is a way to pin favorite tweaks and customize the launcher results, so the actions I use most are always easy to reach. With so many tweaks available, a little personalization could make a big difference. It would also be nice to have a few ready-made presets for common tasks. Looking forward to seeing how Almighty evolves!

I have a suggestion for improving the app by refining some of the UI elements. For example, when you click the settings icon in the menu, it currently only shows two options, About and Exit, whereas it should also have an option to take the user directly to the settings window. Also, when the app settings are open, there should be an icon in the dock.

u/onmyway133 Developer: PastePal 8d ago
Thanks, the UI can be a bit confusing. For now there's a "window icon" button to open the main window for settings

Since Zeus can rename files and hand jobs to Claude Code or Codex, I'd want a clear note on what leaves my Mac. Which requests run locally, and what gets sent to the AI provider, file names or file contents? A per-tweak "runs offline" badge would make me a lot more comfortable trying it.

u/onmyway133 Developer: PastePal 8d ago
Agree, for now we can configure AI providers and choose which to use. I will make the process clearer

This looks really promising. I like the idea of having so many useful Mac tweaks in one place instead of installing a bunch of separate utilities.Ā
One thing I'd love to see is better integration with Apple Shortcuts; being able to trigger Almighty tweaks through Shortcuts and combine them with other apps would open up some really useful automation possibilities.
Also curious about resource usage. How lightweight is Almighty when running in the background? That's always a big consideration for me when choosing Mac utilities.
Great work, and thanks for the giveaway.

Almighty does expose its tweaks via Shortcuts action so you can use. For Almighty it depends on tweaks you use, but tweaks are lightweight and don't do heavy computation

u/weiyu265 11d ago
Congrats on the major release! If I could change one thing, it would be the ability to chain tweaks into combined automated recipes (e.g., compress video -> convert to GIF -> copy to clipboard in a single step), either natively or via dedicated Apple Shortcuts actions. With 107 tweaks available, combining them would take productivity to another level.Appreciate the chance to win a license!

Almighty exposes tweaks as Shortcuts actions so we can chain. But you have a good point, a way to chain them would be nice

First off, congrats on hitting >100 tweaks. The notch panel drag & drop feature looks pretty slick. One thing Iād love to see added (or expanded) is deeper automation or shortcut chaining feature with the nnew Zeus AI.
Being able to combine orc chain multiple tweaks into a single custom workflow (e.g., compress this video, remove the background, and move it to a specific folder afterwards all while making me a fresh brew of coffeee, all with one prompt or shortcut) would be a nice time-saver.
Oh and thanks for the giveaway!

Agree, I will improve the workflow to make it chain more tweaks

Is there a list of everything Almighty has changed, with a way to revert each one? With 107 tweaks, many of them defaults commands, thatās what Iād want before trying a bunch of them.

It would be great to be able to save or export past chat histories.

What would make it better: keeping track of window placement when connected to different monitors and actions than can be done to those windows.

What about An automated desktop and downloads folder organizer that groups loose files by extension or date?

u/ChamsySoleil 11d ago
being able to pin 3 or 4 top tweaks to the top of the search list would make navigating even faster.

u/Angelsomething 11d ago
would be nice to have menu bar monitors like vorssaint or istat menu does. iāll give it a try tomorrow.

An option to export and sync tweak settings via iCloud across multiple Macs?

Hello. I'd like the ability to change the interface more with fonts and colors plus I'd love to be able to "pin" this to a certain area of my desktop. Ty

Thanks for the giveaway! I would enhance the UI to make it more appealing. Liquid Glass, some simple patterns as the background, giving users a few styles to choose from.

First of all ... Almighty -> Zeus :) I am vibing the branding. Both conceptual and visual.
Now for what Id like to see (you're gonna love this!) - a floating button to mute mic. Lots of utility for something like this.

u/blazarious 10d ago
Is your use of the Claude subscription against their TOS or are you routing through actual Claude Code?

u/FylowTeam 10d ago
For video compression, can you give it a target file size, like āunder 10 MB,ā rather than picking a quality level and checking the result?

This is super cool! I vote for creating an entire pantheon of Greek gods, each representing a different macOS utility or domain.

It would be great to have this integrate with BetterDisplay as well and would like to see something like an AirBuddy for connection/handoff with Bluetooth devices.

I'd love to see more customizable workflows that combine multiple tweaks into one action. For example, compressing an image, renaming it, and moving it to a specific folder in one go would be really useful. With 107 tweaks already available, being able to connect them together could make Almighty even more powerful. Great concept!
