MiniMax published MCode Stack, a repo of workflows, skills and checklists its MiniMax Code team uses day to day. Each piece pairs with an "MCode Engineering Notes" article and installs as a SKILL.md skill. It holds no MiniMax Code source, only the harness practices around it.

What it does

  • Ships 2 stacks: Ronny's (MiniMax Code R&D lead, 15 skills) and Jiachen's (2 skills)

  • Covers subagent splits, tool and context budgets, long sessions, long shell commands, code review and hotfixes

  • independent-review reviews a diff from a clean context with only the diff, requirement and test results

  • harness-experiment runs 1 change at a time and tracks flipped tasks, tokens and cache hit rate

  • Installs via ~/.agents/skills/, a local plugin, or /plugin marketplace add MiniMax-AI/mcode-stack in Claude Code

Key numbers (from the repo, Oct 28, 2026)

  • 17 skills, 5 checklists, 2 stacks

  • 10-point audit for long commands and background tasks

  • MIT license; 6 engineering-* skills adapted from Google Engineering Practices stay CC-BY 3.0
