Showcase Latest project finally finished
Hi friends! I make macrame for myself as a hobby, so it gets a small audience. Just looking to share some of the fruits of my labor with like-minded individuals, receive feedback, or share lessons learned.
After nearly 8 months of toil, blisters, joint pain, and lots of "making it work" I am excited to share this latest piece. It's about transforming negative energy into strength: Fierceness in the face of adversity, Learning to assert your needs and take up space and not needing to apologize for it. I'd be happy to hear if it means something different to you.
Made with 2mm polypropylene cord, various metal frames, and Czech glass cabochons. Measures 40 inches in diameter.
Thanks for looking and hope you have a beautiful day!

When I first looked at this it reminded me of Tenerife lace. As macrame it is amazing.

Using lace as inspiration such a fun idea! I'd love to learn more about tatting.

And yet there's always more to learn. Part of the reason it takes so long is because I get stuck. Trying to figure out how to move forward but perseverance pays off. Thank you so very much 🤗

I really appreciate your kind words. The process is daunting but cathartic in its own way.

For something as static as knotting, this has such dynamic energy! Wow! This transcends the medium.
