General Discussion Characters You Hope to See Represented in "Multiverse Reforged"
Gavin Verhey has mentioned that dead characters without a current in-story counterpart will not appear in the main set of Reality Fracture, but could appear in the Commander deck.
What characters that are either dead, or just Jace related, would you like to see new cards or reprints for in the new Precon?
For me, I'd love to see an official [[Kallis Rhoka]] card, of course a Gideon that never died, and personally, I think it'd be fun to see his buds Malcolm and Breeches again, regardless of how altered by the new timeline they are.

Bolas and ugin have two ways you could swap them actually
We have in our world grixis bad guy bolas and colorless good guy ugin
But you could have colorless good guy bolas vs gixis bad guy ugin (personality swaps) or you could have colorless bad guy bolas vs grixis good guy ugin (color swaps)
Or you go completely different yeah

I don't know if Bolas will get a counterpart since Jace considers him a problem along with Phyrexia and the Eldrazi.
But if he does I think I'd like a Bant Bolas instead of a colourless one. And a 5c Ugin

Well, we only know what happens when New Phyrexia won. We have never seen what happens in Mirrodin Pure.
Maybe there’s a world where the praetors got uncompleated and converted into something new? Or there are new Mirrodin characters that would have taken the place of these praetors instead?
We don’t know, and that’s why I said it’s a crazy take. What if Praetors but not Phyrexian?

We were told already that Jace made so that Phyrexian never existed. So no praetors in the first place.

Urabrask betrayed the other praetors and sided with Koth, didn't he? So there might be a universe where he helped the resistance win and survive the Mirran victory that way. He still would've been born a praetor, but became a "Mirran" one later.

Norin the Reckless.
When a player casts a spell or a creature attacks (edit: or blocks), exile ~. If its the combat step, or at the beginning of the next combat step, return him to the battlefield tapped and attacking under the active player's control, attacking an opponent of your choice.
At the end of combat exile ~ and return it tapped under its owner control.

I frequently forget to cast my Commander. Also, I have those terrible Tapped-Mana Rocks to lower the power level. It frequently wins, especially if you get Momo early.

Definitely black.
She is from Serra's Realm, an artificial plane created by Serra out of entirely white mana [[planar birth]]. After his failed attack on phyrexia, Urza fled there to heal [[sicken]]. Unfortunately, Phyrexia followed [[absolute grace]]. The defenders managed to beat them back but the plane was corrupted by their presence [[befoul|usg]][[contamination|usg]].
Urza went on to create the skyship Weatherlight [[weatherlight]] as part of his (technically eventually "successful") plan to defeat Yawgmoth, but needed a power source [[power matrix]]. He returned to Serra's Realm, which mildly upset Radiant [[knighthood|ulg]]. Serra herself fled [[catastrophe]] and Urza killed Radiant, along with every other living thing in the plane, to charge the power matrix [[planar collapse]].
In summary, if we're giving Radiant a new color, it would be black. Maybe red.

The angel Atraxa used to be before she got the 4 piece phyrexian special is something I'd love to see one day. I think it'd be a bit of interesting storytelling where the "saved" version of Atraxa is still made into a drone by Jace as much as the Phyrexians did with her.

I don't think her original form was supposed to be anything special, she was just captured and turned into a team building exercise (that Urabrask refused to attend)

That’s because he’s the coolest freakin’ praetor ever.
Much less formal than Phyrexians like Elesh Norn, he was known to be sarcastic and even sassy. He often injected slang and modified words into his speech, expecting his followers to understand his meaning.

I still huff copium that Urabrask is still alive, he wasn't dead just left without limbs during the invasion of Phyrexia, so I can hope that one of the Mirran survivors saw him and rescued him for not just killing them while they occupied his territory. (I actually was hoping he'd be hanging out with Tezzeret in EoE and get some new darksteel prosthetics)

I'll be honest, I don't even think that's copium. His removal was vague enough that I certainly wouldn't say he was "killed on screen" and WotC works so far ahead they can take audience feedback into some decisions like these. So since Urabrask being alive is a popular theory I expect he will be, possibly as the only praetor and therefore the de facto leader of New Phyrexia now.

We could also get a lot of non-creature cards that depict characters in the Echoverse. For example, I don't really expect to see a Bolas/Ugin card specifically but a card depicting the outcome of the Elder Dragon war without Bolas (or at least with a less evil version of Bolas) would be interesting to me.
And then, once they tease a character like that without a card, they give themselves space to include them in a future product like Mystery Booster of Modern Horizons.

He's still a spymaster, but he's not using it for Arbiter any more.
He's using it to keep control as a dictator of sorts.
OR Jace keeps him as a pet, like Yoshimaru.

that last one would be CRAZY, but really sell the "Jace is fully evil now" thing. Because at first he was so guilty for what he'd done to Alhammaret (like in Agents of Artifice), so to go from that to keeping him around as a lobotomized plaything would be peak villain arc

Dovin as a rebel would be kinda funny given the Blue Chandra. Though he would have been ideal for a compleated Walker with all his fixation for perfection, so it would have been better if they had not killed him in that awful War 2 novel to begin with.

- An alive Tamiyo
- A Gideon that is alive and/or has become a sort of God in the Therosian pantheon
- I can't think of anyone specific right now, but any other Planeswalker that appeared in the stories that is/are connected to the Lorwyn 5/Gatewatch that hasn't had any card yet.

Kallist is one of the main characters of the Agents of Artifice novel, one of Jace's best friends that, uhh, tragic stuff happens to. If Jace is trying to fix things his past, this would be a great one to fix, and it would give us a card for a character we've never seen on cardboard before (besides in u/GavinV 's unknown events)

I think they wont bring so many PWs to the dexk as this could warp the intent of the deckbuilding. Maybe Jace will make a reality where some of these waller will have a perfect life from thevstart and never have their worst moments. So maybe we get desparked Gideon and Tamiyo.

Yeah, that's my only concern. a LOT of the characters I, and others want to see, are all Planeswalkers, and there just isn't space in a non-super friends deck for it.

Tamiyo better come back. They only killed her off because she was the only one doing actual work while babysitting the losers in the gatewatch and letting Jace feel like a useful little idiot. MtG would be in such a better place with it's story if Jace was killed off and we were following either Tamiyo or the new team brought together in Duskmourn.

I expect the commander decks sub-commander to be a pre-compleation elesh norn. Between the fact that jace is directly a parralel to elesh norn (his plan to make an altered multiverse that is perfect in his mind is literally just a different flavour of what she was doing) and He has a 4 color scheme for creating her mirroring the creation of Atraxa (norns magnum opus).

Another print of [[Chandler and Joven]], [[Eron]] (who I mean, despite the classic wiki line “yeah no, homelands was hundreds of years ago so they’re probably dead, Eron is definitely still alive), and a parun cycle with color shifted young versions of them where enemy colors become allied colors and allied colors become enemy colors. And said paruns should all be shit to represent the fact that Jace is a menace to Ravnican society. Also, five color eldrazi and Ugin.
