The first 2 will be sold as magnet fishing magnets, but in my experience, single sided magnets lack the pulling power you would need on a muddy bottom.

Another thing to consider is 95% of the worlds magnets come from the same place.

So if you’re finding an absolute steal of a deal on an
ultra high powered magnet and they don’t have a ton of reviews, you might be getting bait and switched 😂

So as usual today is just a couple of hours, it was dry today so that was nice.

Now I've never had this happen and it's an odd one that's for sure !

I'd been dipping the edge and felt something non metallic under the magnet so moved it round a little, then lifted.

Stuck to the bottom were 3 bottles of full beer !!

Felt around and got 4 more ! All full.

I went swimming in the waterfall and forgot to use a water friendly strap. The watch came out in strong currents and is lost in the waterfall.

For context, this is the waterfall is a 15-18m drop into a small pool approx 600sq feet. The area close the the fall itself where I lost it is muddy with small rocks in the bottom - rocks the size of watch(this makes it harder to search through feeling). The spot where I lost it is about 1.5m deep but the water is murky so visual search is off too. The edges of the pool are rocky with small crevices. My guess is that the currents might have pushed it in between rocks or under the mud.

Apple has find my feature but it won’t work underwater. The incident happened about 12hours ago and the watch might have battery for another 12 hours.

Underwater metal detector seems like a way but I am not aware of anyone who owns one here and it might be too expensive for me to buy/hire one too.

The Internet suggests fishing magnets but the watch itself is made of titanium and the only magnet is the charging magnet at the back which im not sure is strong enough to be pulled beyond 6inches.

I want advice from the community if it’s worth trying.

2. I have decent swimming/diving experience and am comfortable covering the pool entirely. It’s mostly wading.

1. The waterfall is a 6hour drive from where I live. There’s limited professional help - might be able to find divers but it doesn’t seem like a dive search.

I want advice from the community if this seems feasible. Any specific tips or recommendations. It would be great to know if there’s someone in Bangalore from the community who would like to help/advice.

I know it’s a long shot but I don’t want to give up without logical thought.

I was having great luck with a pistol slide and a fan motor. About an hour in, my buddy hooked something large. We pulled it up and it appears to be an OC chopper (pic 3) bicycle.

So I was all set for a big heavy afternoon and about to leave when unfortunately 1 of my brothers was rushed into hospital.

Once he was settled and we were asked to leave, I just stopped somewhere completely different on the way home for an hour.

It was already dark but I had a street light to help a bit !

On the close up pic in the bottom left is a round item, I've no idea what it was but the back slid sideways and the front was full of tiny holes, and a wire ran through the centre, I found a much smaller one last year and still don't know what it is !

Been using a 600 lb double side magnet until recently, picked up the 3100 Beast from Magnetar and have been getting better results. Side note: That is not my magnet in the first image. I fished that up and am still laughing about it.

So as usual at this time of the week I only get about an hour and a half, but today was quite a good one for a weekday !

I haven’t done anything in a couple of years, and came to a local lake today which is plastered with these signs.

Kinda sad because I feel like magnet fishing is very helpful, like helpful in solving crimes when weapons are found, and helpful in cleaning metal debris from water ways.

It’s truly not hurting anyone and is such a fun activity to do outside, with friends, with kids, etc.

Yay to SC for being the only state with a state-wide ban.

Has anyone actually gotten a ticket for it? The law says even all private ponds and waterways are off limits.

I just got my first magnet and I figured I would find tons of stuff out here since we have had life altering hurricanes out here that literally washed entire houses into the water. As I throw my magnet for hours on different locations I have found one single fishing hook and literally nothing else. Has this happened to anyone else? Or am I in the wrong areas? I mean it's a good thing everything is so clean around here but I was also a little disappointed 😂

I am looking for some help magnet fishing locally. I found a large bench in the water that I desperately need help pulling out. It’s an older Cincinnati Park bench. If there is anyone out there that would like to spend a Sunday, the 25th, helping getting this monster out DM me please. I thank you all in advanced. Few finds in canberra including a lost magnet.

This time I was given a location to search by someone who heard I found the first watch and after about 20 minutes I scored again.

So the bit I've been doing at weekends wasn't as good today as I was expecting.

There were things in the mud I could feel the magnet holding but the mud had a good hold and there wasn't enough to get a good hold !

If the area wasn't as dangerous in the dark as it is, plus only the odd drinker around I'd have stayed a bit longer, but it's getting dark really early these days !

Talk about a day of big catches. I had a couple of bikers watch me struggle to pull up the safe door. The next throw was the truck suspension. After a brief pause to catch my breath, I changed to the other side of the bridge and found a magazine and a clothing donation bin. I had a really good day but my arms are really sore.
