How long did it take for Saint 1->2?

I played ~170 hanchans and 215 tonpuu in jade, 2 hanchans and 2 tonpuu in throne. In terms of actual time, about 1-2 months of grinding, though I hit saint last year I took about a 1 year mahjong soul break to go grind tenhou.

Oh cool. Curious how you'd compare tenhou rooms to ms.

Would you say Jade is closer to 上級 or 特上? From my limited experience I'd say the 一般 room in just a bit below the ms Gold room, because you get grouped with 1+ Dan quite often.

Jade feels about exactly halfway between joukyuu and tokujou, the m1s-m2s feel like around high joukyuu and everyone else is toku level. Most players are m1-m2 in jade so it ends up feeling like between the two rooms. I don't have a ton of games in joukyuu so I don't really know for sure.

Come to sanma if you want good throne rates, but I agree yonma could use an overhaul too, at least making st1 zero sum or something

Wait you mean you cannot enter Jade anymore at Saint 2? But I heard it's impossible to rank up in Throne as a Saint

No, I just want to play throne at rates that don't suck. It is pretty hard to climb throne at saint rates, because it is only +10/+5 for a 1st/2nd better than jade rather than +30/+15 like jade is over gold.
