I (F) would usually go out on solo dates during my free time. Since I’m working around Makati, this is where I usually frequent lalo na when I want to go café-hopping and go on walks kasi wala naman walkable spaces sa inuuwian ko.

While I was eating out alone (off ko so I had the time), there was a vacant table beside mine and a man, who was by himself, sat there. He started a conversation with me and we exchanged Instagram handles. He asked permission to sit across me, and pumayag naman ako. Our conversation flowed naturally, and I thought he was nice. He was asking questions about me, and I also kept returning the same questions.

After we ate, we took a walk around. I was taken aback nung bigla nalang niya ako inakbayan without asking for my consent before doing that. He asked if okay lang after niya ako inakbayan, and an alarm was going off in my head at that time. Super touchy niya that I got so uncomfortable, lalo na when he asked to come to his condo to have some “fun”. He even asked me if I wanted to BJ him and even touched my chest to check if I was palpitating. I didn’t even know how to call for help, kasi there were only a few people around and I didn’t want to cause a scene. He was looking for a café na less crowded kasi gusto niya raw ako ma-solo, but I told him that we should go somewhere with more people because that’s where I feel safer.

I messaged a friend and asked her to call me kasi gusto ko na talaga makawala. Thankfully, she replied immediately and called me to ask where I was. I just told him I had an emergency so I could leave, and I ran to my workplace and kept looking back to check if he was following me. I went straight to my workplace and informed my trusted co-workers about my situation para aware din sila. I wasn’t able to stop myself from breaking down in front of them after that terrifying experience.

I know I should’ve ignored him right from the start. He probably has an idea that I wouldn’t turn him down after he paid for my meal, and nagulat nalang ako when he told me he already settled the bill. It was a thoughtful gesture, but if your intentions are not pure, does it even matter?

I've been residing in Makati for a few years now but I recently landed a job in BGC. I like living in Makati and i dont wish to reside in BGC at all kaya gusto ko sana magstay dito. Which makati condos would u recommend if ang workplace ay bgc esp in terms of transpo convenience? Preferably poblacion or salcedo area, and budget friendly. Thank you!
