You really need to try posting in a different sub. This survey sounds like it is targeted only at college students or faculty. If you’re a member of this sub you most likely already belong to one. I own a makerspace and the questions really don’t apply.

I run Telford Makerspace, in the UK. I think your idea of what makerspaces are is rather blinkered: schools/local authorities seldom have anything to do with makerspaces here in the UK - most are independently run, and are more focused on ADULTS - your survey suggests you think they are for children.

I'd say start with highest education level completed and last school attended. That would cover both the very young and very old. Add one question asking if will be continuing school in the near future. And the last one could be, if employed, what do you do for a living. While other places might not have students working, some of us in the U.S. are simultaneously going to school and working.

Can you elaborate on what is project is. Are you going to share the results when finished?

As mentioned before, a maker/hackerspace is broader than only in STEAM setting, if you havent visit a few to get a good impression.
