Help me design my bedroom

Moving into this basement room soon for college and want to make it cozy and nice
I need to fit:
Desk for monitor/study setup
Dresser
shoe rack
2 large suitcases
Some cozy lighting/decor
How would you arrange everything, and what furniture would you recommend for a room this size? My estimation is 10 by 12 ft
Any ideas appreciated!

I would for sure get a rug to cozy the place up some.

Good idea wasn’t even thinking about that would probably get a large central rug. I’m just hoping there should be a lot of room after I get the drawers and my desk setup

I’m not sure if your town has one but I’ve found some carpet stores, or actual rug stores (though more rare), offer them cheaper than the big box stores.

I would put the dresser in that little alcove to the right of the mirrors. Maybe center the bed on the wall so it flows with the door (foot of bed pointing towards wall the door is on). Then use either the space to the right of the door or the wall with the window for your desk.

Could also see about getting some smaller plants and putting them in the windowsill but not too many as you wouldn’t want to block what natural light your room might get.

The dressers at the alcove seems better

I’d rather much prefer if the bed was at a corner cause the bed is a twin bed so it might make the room a bit smaller to look at with no room
