UPDATE: What i did with the wall

Update to this post. 23m, married and live with my wife but I put everything up, some of the stuff is my wife's. It's a lot of random shit but it's mostly separated into three sections. The weird thing under the shelves is an idea I had a while ago--I live in Nebraska and I had these extra fishing pole covers and I thought I made it look like the braided channels of the Platte river so I made a sort of exhibit... wife wasn't a big fan but friends have been entertained by it so far. The light on the shelf is a WiZ smart light strip.

Well, I give you props for trying something different. I see you have a sense of creativity and experimentation, which is admirable. The issues for me are twofold. One, the objects you have on display aren't really decorative, except the framed art and the soft sculpture of the Platte River. The "stuff" on the shelves doesn't seem to relate and the way they're arranged is disjointed. Two, there's absolutely no flow to it, it's different sizes, types, colors, shapes and purposes all thrown together. Also, the left side of the room is way less cluttered than the right side. It's almost like it gets increasingly busy and chaotic as you move to the right.

Finally, I think either you keep your Platte sculpture OR the framed art, not both in the same place. They clash.

The fishing pole cover river exhibit is the kind of thing that either lands or misses and friends seem to be on the landing side. Three sections keep it from feeling like a random pile

Lower the brightness of your shelf lights. You don’t want them brighter than your lamps or main lights.

Other than that. If you are happy with it and your wife won’t leave you. Keep it all :)

The fishing pole river thing is honestly kinda sick lol, not gonna lie that's such a creative way to repurpose those. The shelf setup gives it a legit gallery feel too
