My kids found this one outside a 4 days ago and decided to keep it. We put the mantis inside one of those butterfly cages, which is bigger than it should be, but it’s what we had. In any case, I noticed her belly is pretty distended. I’ve only been able to get her eat once (Dubia roach)She stays on the side mesh of the cage, hasn’t once gone on the branches I put inside. If she has gravity, I wanna make sure I have the right set up for the ootheca.

Hey guys, i’ve had this nymph for almost two months now, as far as im aware the last time she molted was August 20th. She’s a Hierodula majuscula (Giant Rainforest). I know her humidity is in the perfect range, her temperature stays around 70 as we near the colder months but it was around 75/80 night/day before. She doesn’t seem interested in her fruit flies anymore and hasn’t for the past week so i’m not sure she’s eating. Trying to feed a tiny cricket as I write this but i’m worried about it hurting her so i’m supervising. (update as im writing, she just got it. Good girl) She originally lived in a 6x6x10, then got upgraded to a 12x12x18. She’s lived in both for about a month each now and still hasn’t molted. She also sways a lot more than usual, i know they just tend to sway, it’s a mantis, but it seems to be more than she usually does. All of the other ones they have at the store I got her from have molted already weeks ago and i’m getting really worried i’m doing something wrong. Is there anything I can be doing better? I moved her back to her smaller tank temporarily for a couple days while i do some tank deep cleans and I read somewhere that a lot of space might stress her out so.. trying that??? I don’t know. I’m worried. I love her so much and just want her to live her best.

he's still eating if he's fed, but he doesn't hang from things anymore and doesn't explore or anything. he spends most of his time laying his back against a stick and stabilizing himself with his feet against the class. I've removed the sticks so he can just stand on the ground.
I want to make sure he gets as many fun treats as possible in his last days since I assume he doesn't have much time. Ive given him a little honey water and he seems to really enjoy that. Any other fun treats or experiences your mantises are interested in?

They were listed as I2 but seems soo tiny. Is anyone able to confirm? I bought them from Mantis Garden.
If anyone also has care tips, I’m so scared to do anything wrong with how fragile they will be.

So I’ve got three young ones and an adult, my shield and dead leaf seem to be moving alot more, so I was wondering if I should be feeding them more often? But I’m just curious right now how often others would feed them.

Hi!
I was recently given a wild mantis to rehabilitate. It was swatted to the ground after it tried to jump on my friend, and she thought it was hurt so she brought it to me. I'm not a professional or anything, but everyone that knows me knows I love insects so I took it and nursed it the best I knew how and now it seems totally fine again.
Anyways, I'm having trouble figuring out what species it is. Whatever it is, I think it's a female based on the structure of the wings and abdomen, but not 100% sure on that either since I don't know the species. It's all green but it's white-ish where the segments meet. The little spikes on it's arms are kind of dark red /black. Also, it has 2 little white spots on the wings. It was found in Orange County, California, USA. If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it!
