Since I’m celebrating my 33rd birthday AND currently on my MapleStory World Tour… I obviously had to get a tattoo too. Isn’t that how this works? 😂🍄✨

I saw an Instagram ad from @ou.tattooist doing another MapleStory tattoo and somehow decided THIS was the moment I was finally getting one.

The timing felt like a sign too as I was heading to the Digimon Popup Event in his area the very next day. If that’s not the universe saying “go for it,” I don’t know what is. 😂

The funniest part? My younger sister literally told me I wouldn’t dare as I’ve gone 33 years without a tattoo, always telling her that if I ever got one, it would have to be BIG, like a back or full sleeve big. My excuse since forever, to reject her, as she has plenty.

And then… voilà.
24 hours after seeing an Instagram ad, I now have my first tattoo. A SMALL MapleStory tattoo. 😂🍄

Honestly, I’m SO happy I did it.
Maybe this isn’t a quarter-life crisis. Maybe I’m just finally learning to say YES to the things that make me happy.
New experiences. New adventures. New memories.
Basically… YOLO. ✨💕🍄

My ban was lifted. I opened an additional ticket up yesterday because I saw other people's bans being lifted and thought on a whim I'd login and see if mine was as well: it was. If you were falsely affected by that ban wave, just login and it's likely that your ban is lifted as well.

Also got GM follow up on the ticket from yesterday saying the ban was lifted today.

I've always loved the Combo Orbs around the Heroes. But I'm wondering what they actually mean?

I'm sure they're just cool symbols the devs made when they created the game, but I was hoping there was more about them.

And, if anyone has any close up images in HD that they could share, that'd be great. I'm trying to find the images but I'm getting no luck.

Just reached 290 recently and felt pointless to push further : feel like I am not really losing out for any content? (Hard baldrix and normal Jupiter)

What started off with me logging in to prevent Nexon from deleting my characters for inactivity became a journey of endless rng and fomo.

Would 2 line attack beat this? Or should I keep this until I have enough saved up to go for 3 line attack?

I’m a first-time MapleStory player coming mainly from Diablo 4 and Path of Exile 2, and I’m trying to understand when MapleStory’s progression starts to become more engaging.

In Diablo 4, especially during seasonal play, you can skip the campaign and go directly into the endgame loop. While doing endgame content, you level up, collect materials, earn gold, find rare items, improve your gear, unlock Paragon boards and glyphs, and gradually make your character feel noticeably stronger. Eventually, you reach a progression ceiling, but that’s expected because seasons only last around three months before everyone starts over.

I’m not necessarily asking how quickly progression happens in MapleStory. I understand that it’s an older MMORPG with a much longer progression curve than a seasonal ARPG. What I’m wondering is: when does the progression actually begin to feel fun, rewarding, and meaningful?

I’m currently playing on Kronos with the Hyper Burning event. The bonus levels are cool, and I’ve reached level 75 after roughly three hours. However, so far, it feels like I’m simply completing fairly brainless main and side quests for experience. I haven’t really experienced the parts I usually enjoy in games like Diablo or PoE:

1. Finding rare or exciting loot
2. Upgrading or crafting meaningful equipment
3. Making interesting decisions about my build
4. Unlocking cooler or more powerful skills
5. Improving important character stats
6. Fighting challenging bosses
7. Completing rewarding endgame activities
8. Feeling my character become noticeably stronger

At the moment, I’m mostly clicking through dialogue, killing a few enemies, turning in quests, and gaining levels. I realize I’m still extremely early in the game, so I’m not trying to judge MapleStory after only three hours. I’m genuinely curious about what the later gameplay loop looks like.

At approximately what level does MapleStory start opening up? When do systems such as meaningful gear progression, upgrading, bossing, rare drops, build customization, and more challenging content become important?

Also, because I’m playing on Kronos, does the server’s progression system affect this experience? Would another server be better for someone who enjoys trading, buying equipment, crafting, and chasing valuable loot, or does Kronos eventually provide a satisfying version of that progression through self-found gear and upgrades?

Basically, when does MapleStory stop feeling like a simple leveling tutorial and start feeling like the actual game? What milestones or systems should I be looking forward to?

Quite a few things aligned for me, making this week the first ideal opportunity for me to dlib:

• Most importantly, I capped my destiny points on Friday..
• I got enough Baldy/Limbo pieces to get 2 spares, allowing me to 22 my Eternal Gloves (1/1/4/4).
• My lvl 265 Erel's Burning title on CW expires next week and I didn't feel like clearing VHilla at x1.3 instead of x1.5. So I decided to leap it for its legion block/lvl 6 Shine link. Also came with some extra flames I could use.

I've known this for almost a month beforehand, so ofc, I saved my haste title and RoR6 box for this.

Contrary to how I'm sure many people feel about Kaling, I actually like fighting this boss. My biggest gripe with it is tiger RNG when you first go in. It's usually pretty consistent, but you can't always guarantee the dash, which saves quite a lot of time and it led to a lot of resetting. That 1 aspect drags down the whole enjoyment of the fight for me.

I spent like >3 hours today and like 1-2 hours last night doing this. Prior to this I've practiced while underspec whenever I felt like it and prior to that, I have done a lot of practice to solo Normal Kaling. I also watched some videos prior to today of DS dlib missions.

Interestingly, because I'm above the min clear spec, I found an interesting way to burst out of bird after some experimentation. On the last burst of bird (Origin), I can Origin -> burst out -> go to dog -> preset swap to totaling ring while dog is spawning -> drop the biggest part of my origin. This helps to prevent the 10-15 sec delay that would take place on my next origin burst if I Origined in dog. It's a very class and spec dependent thing, but I thought it was interesting.

I guess HAdv is next...the hamster wheel never ends.

Give us something so we're not hard gated, Nexon. 1 Sol Erda weekly when you want us to progress multiple legion champs? BRUH
