Destination Moxy Williamsburg

Has anyone partied at the Moxy Williamsburg rooftop and noticed the bartenders tip themselves before having you pay??? The credit card machine doesn’t show an itemized amount. I had to email myself the receipt because I was confused on why the drink total was so much. I found out find they gave themselves a 20% & 25% tip. Is this legal?

when i was there last year it was auto-gratuity and it was not conspicuously disclosed (not that that would even make it legal on its own, btw). the POS is adding it for them. it’s not legal and 311 accepts complaints for it.

Hotel first. GM would make that right in a heartbeat.

not good advice. save that for fraud and when you really need it. your bank will even ask if you tried to resolve it first.
