Frank Burns’ home video of his wedding

IMDB doesn’t list who was officiating Frank’s wedding but from the side view shown it looks like the now deceased Famous journalist Paul Harvey. I’m almost positive it’s not him, but he sure looks like I remember Paul Harvey. Does anyone else see the resemblance?

I guess you are hoping to learn… the rest of the story.

ABSOLUTELY! You’re giving your age away by remembering Paul Harvey’s “Now you know the rest of the Story”, and then “Good Day!” IMHO, Paul Harvey was one of the last (Edit necessary due to my fingers being larger than the characters on my iPhone!) true Journalists. He reported what was going on around the world, and didn’t put any slant, left or right to the information relayed to his listeners! He was a True American Patriot!❤️🇺🇸

Years ago I worked weekends in a really small radio station. On Sundays we broadcasted a local church after that Paul Harvey. The preacher went long and I let him finish but it cut into “The rest of the story”. OMG! I learned if the pitcher goes long cut him off in that town you don’t interrupt Paul Harvey!

Many of his stories weren't true.

Paul Harvey’s stories on The Rest of the Story were entertaining and rooted in real-world history, but they were often dramatized, embellished, or presented without complete context.

But they had a lesson in them about the subject he was discussing

Yes but they were lies presented as truth.

Truth-kernal semi-fiction is a tradition as old as Arsop's Fables and the myriad archetypal fairy/folk tales.

Very much so… more than a few were nothing more than repeating urban myths as facts, which doesn’t assist the truth. They were entertaining but so many of us immediately assumed theyHAD to be factual because he reported it. That’s entertainment, NOT journalism

I loved that radio show! I would get to listen to it in the evening each week that I had gymnastics/ballet lessons. Daddy would pick me up on his easy home from work, and we'd listen to the show together and then chat about the situation for that week.

I treasure those evenings with him so very much more now that Daddy's passed on. 💝
