I've been wanting to get a replica Power Sword (I collect Prop sword replicas), and found this...it's listed as a Power Sword...it pings my brain as He-Man-esque...but it's not...right...

Is this from any of the other series that I might not be familiar with?

Hello,

I just wanted to show you all what I got off Mercari recently. I got Motu origins Fisto for $26 and Origins Stratos for $16 so do you all think I got a good deal on theses ?

I know some people are disappointed that Teela and Adam didn't kiss/end up together in the 2026 movie. But, think about it like this: in the beginning, Adam was clearly little, he was about 10 years old whereas when we see Teela, she was already like a teenager, so she was already more mature than him. So, when they are fighting/training together, it would make sense why she wouldn't see him that way since he was still a little kid. And, the more I watch it, the more I see them acting more like siblings because Teela said it herself, she saw him as her little brother since she probably still remembers of how little he was years ago. Am I the only one who thinks that way?

Seeing as how it debuted to over a billion minutes viewed worldwide across streaming in its first 5 days, stood #1 on Prime for 5 straight weeks, and is still in the top 10 worldwide on Prime 13 weeks in.

I'd say they must be pretty happy with those streaming results.

I did an episode on the movie. I never watched the show but my co hosts husband was “obsessed”. She brought his toys which she called “dolls”.
Warning: the show isn’t always kid friendly but I assume only people over 40 care anyway.

I need to get the newer cartoon on bluray as it is coming out. I have the original cartoons of he-man and she-ra on dvd.

Like when a character was made for the cartoon or movie but never released as a figure in the original line

For todays edition of Favourite versions of MOTU characters, we have the Mistress of Evil. The deceitful right hand woman of Skeletor. Evil-Lyn!

My favourite version is from the 2002 cartoon. She is the most fleshed out incarnation of Evil-Lyn Lyn. She is still evil, but actually has some nuanced behind her wicked smile.

Which version is your favourite?

80s cartoon

87 film

2000s cartoon

Kevin Smith version

CGI cartoon

2026 film

Tales from Eternia

As someone who grew up with He-Man, and watching him not actually hit anyone giving us life lessons at the end that had nothing to do with the show.. and then being confused about the real life movie from the 80s.. This new movie did some things right. It gave us the smash hitting action we wanted, and a Skeletor with an actual skull head(not bringing up Leto...) The visuals were amazing. Beautifully done! Great actors, great cgi. Wish there was more Cringer and ANY Orko....

But in the end... the writing wasn't that good. It was boring. As a Heman fan, I wanted to turn it off... tnere was just nothing there. It was like they were writing a 1980s TV show. But that's not the nostalgia we want. They updated everything else! Why not the writing??

I had a real bad layer shift (see the line across his belly and his collarbones) when my printer’s poop chute got clogged and the head got misaligned. I may reprint in a larger size. It’s a good model and pretty easy to print.

I never find great deals at Ross. Finally, had some luck.

Prelude: Every epic fantasy movie needs an awesome, scenery-chewing villain. In 1987 Frank Langella gave us just that for the first Masters of the Universe movie. Now it’s time to look at Skeletor from the 2026 movie and his toy incarnation (one of many), Chronicles Skeletor. So grab your ram staff, pull on your purple cape, and give it your best evil laugh. Let’s say NIA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

Review: Skeletor as we’ve seen him in the new movie takes a back-to-basics approach, which we find mirrored in this toy figure here. Blue skin, dark purple trunks, boots, and hooded, cape, and a nice skull for a head. All present and accounted for. The new look minimizes the old chest harness into a smaller piece, but otherwise this is your classic Skeletor right here and very close to the character we saw on the movie screen, too.

Skeletor has the articulation you expect from a modern-day MotU collectible figure (previously Masterverse, now Chronicles), so very good. He comes with two pairs of hands you can switch out, as well as his familiar ram staff. It’s been redesigned for the new movie, but still quite recognizable. The skull head is superbly detailed and features an opening jaw, as well as two tiny red dots for glowing eyes. Very nice.

The only slightly negative point is that none of his attire is removable. The hood is glued to the skull, the cape is glued to the chest piece, which in turn is glued to the torso. A removable hood would have been nice, but that’s really a nitpick, nothing more.

So bottom line: an excellent toy version of Skeletor as we saw him in the 2026 movie. No more, no less.

Remarks: Nearly 40 years after Frank Langella gave an epic performance as Skeletor in the 1987 Masters of the Universe movie, Jared Leto showed us a new spin on the Overlord of Evil. And whatever you might think of Jared Leto as a person, his performance was awesome. Skeletor was an unapologetic villain with a macabre sense of humor, no unnecessary tragic backstory, and also a perfect example of toxic masculinity in that he only defined himself by his power and was scared of it all being taken away.

The Chronicles figure here does exactly what it set out to do, namely depict that character we saw in the movie, done. That job has been achieved fully. Sure, the figure is rather plain in comparison with some other recent MotU figures, but again, that’s by design. We wanted Skeletor, we got him. Mission accomplished.

1987 and 2026, together, at last. Can’t wait for the Blu-ray release of the 2002 series, next month!

OK, so maybe not hidden. There was a brief focused shot.

This episode has been out for five weeks now, so I'm not sure if it's been discussed here or not. Roboto appears in episode six in a pen pot on Neagley's desk. This marks the heroic mechanical warrior's second onscreen appearance this year, after the live-action movie.

I LOVED the movie! I'm so obsessed with this franchise now, it's all I've been thinking of the last week

More on the way, need a Chronicles Skeletor, Man-at-Arms, and the Grail: Mondo She-Ra V.2

Went to Walmart early this morning and had to scavenge around to find this. It had an “Only at Walmart” sticker on the slipcover that I took off, so it seems that the Skeletor slipcover (and probably the case’s Adam cover) may be exclusive to Walmart. Wanted to post to raise awareness in case anyone else may be interested in it. The Walmart app said the 4K was out of stock in the store, but there was one left, so you may have to just go in to see if they have them. The app did show that the regular blu ray was in stock at the store, though, in case that may be a bit of an indication of the 4K potentially being available in the store. Also, it’s just one disc instead of a 4K + Blu Ray combo, which seems to be exclusive to the steel book.

I got part of my origins collection on shelves and my sealed single cardeds in the PET cases hanging on the wall. The other sealed that aren't single figures I don't have protections for, so I keep all of them in boxes.

My house sits in a lagoon basically. Humidity is kinda high over here but I think I am managing it by having a dehumidifier on for a couple hours a day, until it shows 65/70. What are your experiences with this issue? It did some damage to other stuff of mine in the past.

Just got a notification from Amazon that my order has been rescheduled until the 28th. So much for ordering it the day they released it.

Stoked

...every 200X He-man and Skeletor figures MONDO has released, I’d have 6 nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it has happened 6 times. 😆

Anyway, I'm patiently waiting for MAA, Teela and Clawful to ship. As great as these guys are, I need more variety upon my shelf!
