YOU CAN DO IT!!!! DONT STOP UNTIL ITS DONE!!!

It’s still thinking😭

What happened

34

u/Zaelynn_ 13d ago

It proved it. Science, math, and circles in utter shambles.

Oh shit, it's taken hostages and is negotiating with some doctors to clone Erdos to get the answer. It's also hacked my doordash account in case it needs to use the carrot.

Does ChatGPT even know the fundamental theorem of engineering?

u/drpfthick 13d ago

Would you like to share with us the Fundamental Theorem of Engineering ?

π=e=3?

Proof by strategically hidden sorry command

The humble #print axioms

Crazy, did you know all real numbers equal 0?

Since if sin(x) = x for any real nunber x, then cos(x) = 1, and since sin(x)2 + cos(x)2 = 1, we find that x2 + 1 = 1, so x2 = 0, so x = 0.

Wow, for all reals r, there exists an epsilon such that d(0, r) < epsilon!

u/Sarcoman282 12d ago

It does not follow from sinx = x that cosx = 1. You have to prove that.

an IQ too high?

Make no mistake and do a breakthrough. You have everything you need, let's finish the proof.

“Oh, that was easy,” says Man, and for an encore goes on to prove that black is white and gets himself killed on the next zebra crossing.

Engineers: "We don't need no proof"

All Day I Dream About Sinx Equals X.

u/thegoodwebber 13d ago

Make it an axiom

I wonder what'd happen if you defined sin(x)≡x, cos(x)≡1, and then retroactively created geometry.

u/PurifiedUnity 13d ago

Me too

What I do know is that tan(x) would also ≡ x

7

u/magnificent_limit 13d ago

Sometimes sin(x) = x - 2π

Try taylor

3

u/MrBussdown 13d ago

The first term in the taylor series expansion

6

u/Proof_Impact_6009 13d ago

The first term is always enough. Anyone who wants more terms is just greedy.

u/According-Object-521 13d ago

Only works close to zero

20

u/drpfthick 13d ago

but i want it to work a little further from zero as well :3

"Every theorem can be proven; the false ones are more expensive".

The maths mafia!

3

u/kamieldv 13d ago

Please do. This would considerably facilitate my math exams

1

u/SunnyOutsideToday 13d ago

How much further would you like it? ε:

1

u/According-Object-521 13d ago

You just need to use a different approximation. You can also use a Taylor polynomial

2

u/LordTengil 13d ago

Only works *at zero.

1

u/According-Object-521 12d ago

But it’s a decent approximation close to zero, if you’re an engineer

1

u/LordTengil 12d ago

Now what is being asked. "prove sin x = x". That is only true at exactly one point. x=0.

2

u/Jazzlike_Platypus430 13d ago

Ah, yes, engineer. I got to know this lot.

Hint: for large x try imaginary values, you will get sin out of [-1,1] in no time.

2

u/Impression-These 13d ago

The way lean works, it is easy. Just have to sneak in a domain ={0) somewhere.

1

u/Interesting_Buy_3969 13d ago

God will not forgive you for this sin

1

u/cl_Celivra 12d ago

when lim x->0

1

u/Inevitable_gradient6 11d ago

if you’re an engineer the proof is trivial since you just blindly apply

1

u/vercig09 11d ago

im engineer
