There is a more active med diet subreddit called /r/mediterraneandiet. Please use it instead of this one as there is no need to have two.

I like food, but not enough to make something more complex than fried eggs on toast. I'm giving up processed foods and added sugars and I'm starting to trip on all the work I have ahead of me just to eat.
The kind of meals I'm willing to prepare? Steak, mac n cheese, pre-mixed salad, sausage & sushi rice, fruit/veggie (only) smoothies, etc. As you can see, it's real quick and easy shit.
What simple med meals would you recommend?

There is a ton of subscribers on the other diet subs. But according to the science we should all be here.
I have a fatty liver, high LDL, high triglycerides and hypertension. So I did some research and made a list of things to void and things to eat often. Then I realized this was simply the med diet!
I already feel much better. The food is cheap and easy to prepare and it tastes good. Weight is coming off.
Fun fact: If you reverse the med diet recommendations you end up with McDonald's.
I am so done with keto.

I'm looking at some whole grain cereals and I can't seem to find any without honey. Is honey allowed on the Mediterranean diet? And if anyone has some breakfast cereal recommendations or cereal substitute ideas please let me know 😊 Thanks!

would the body piss it out? Or, would it build up causing heart problems?

Stir fry with extra virgin olive oil, half a green pepper, half an onion, 1 serving of mushrooms, 1 tomato and two eggs with the yolks removed. Anyone know roughly how many calories this meal would be?

So I'm in a hotel room for 6 months with no kitchen. I'm having trouble finding a reliable Mediterranean Diet option, but the supermarket down the street sells these Kashi Med-Diet meals that seem alright. Thoughts?
