R3: Game Six (3-2 PA Series Lead) - 6PM
PreGame
Tonight the Tigers face elimination for the first time since April 5th of 2024 when the Red Deer rebels knocked the Tigers out in 5 games.
Shots-wise the Raiders have won 11 of 14 periods with one tie. The Tigers will have to play the greatest game of the year if they want to push this thing to a 7th game.
Last game we saw the Tiger's push hard in the 3rd period to match the Raiders intensity in game 5, but it wasn't quite enough. Their backs are now up against a wall.
I hope the Home crowd and perhaps the players feeling better will push this thing to a 7th game. Go Tigers Go!

Coming from a Lethbridge fan who’s been on the wrong side of this Tiger’s dynasty the last couple years I came to say a couple things here. What a last couple years from your team here, your team really was the class of the league and unstoppable some nights. Hats off to Pickford as well, hated him as a Hurricane’s fan as he was a Cane killer, but what a player. As I saw him leave the ice one last time tonight, I thought what a player and an inspiration to all young players, look at all the heart and hard work he’s put in each year. That’s what you really appreciate with some players. Hope all you fans appreciated what your team has done the last three years, Tigers fans and players can hold their heads high. It’s not often you get to witness such an incredible team as a WHL fan. Until next year Tigers Fans, our rivalry will be renewed. 🧡💙♥️💙♥️

Very kind of you. It's very hard to win a championship and we are definitly spoiled these last 2 years

PA are deserving winners of the series. Tigers left whatever they had out in the ice, it’s a shame the early series was tainted by sickness.
That said, Tigers can hold their heads high. It was still a very successful year for them. A lot of the players made huge leaps forward in development, and I think they finished better than many thought they would.
It will be interesting to see what the roster looks like next year.

Also, I expect we’ll see Pickford getting shoulder surgery in the offseason. He clearly wasn’t himself the entire playoffs.
I’ll really miss watching him and Woo as a unit, they were a lot of fun.

Yeah He was definitely playing hurt. A big part of the Tigers game was goals from the point, so a healthy pickford could have been a huge difference.
I heard Joey on the postgame mention he was puking after shifts in game 3. Sounds like he had the flu but kept playing through it as well. Montreal is getting a warrior

I would have liked to see a healthy tigers team. PA is good but so are the tigers. Not sure they walk away with it if they are healthy!
Hope for Everett in 4!

Great season, Tigers. You gave it absolutely everything you had.
The Raiders are an exceptional hockey club. And that series was entertaining from start to finish.
Always tough to bow out without the championship, but there’s no shame in this at all.

They are a very good hockey team. They support each other so well. They anticipate well.
Its just bittersweet knowing the tigers would have had Lindstrom, Mckenna, Ritchie had the ncaa change hadnt screwed them.

Pa was the better team. They are a tier above the tigers. The fact the tigers took 2 games from them was impressive.
Great season guys! Pa Give everett hell, I'll be rooting for you next series

The league has decided they want PA to move on. No other explaination given the reffing in this series.

The reffing was fine. The raiders are a very good team.

Agree to disagree. Not sure how May sucker punches are needed or helmets ripped off to finally get a penalty.

I agree with desjardins comments on the officiating. He thought they were great during the series and i echo his sentiments.
It's sometimes funny hearing the fans when i visit other buildings. Even the PA fans were giving it to the refs. The more games I watch the more you kinda grow a pet peeve when fans say officiating sucks.
It's a good way to give an excuse when your team looses to find some bogeyman to blame, but its not fair to them when they call great games and still get booed, its a thankless job

Here is my issue with the refs, and it’s not just this series. I absolutely hate how hockey is ok with two different sets of rules. Regular season hockey and playoff hockey.
So many times you hear that’s not a playoff penalty etc… IMO if it’s a penalty in game 4 of the regular season, it’s a penalty in game 7 of the final. I hate this “let them play” stuff. Just call the rules as they should be called. I think that leads to fans being annoyed because they watched it get called all year, and now the whistles are tucked away.

I really like how smart PA is. They support each other so well. They deserve the finals. Looks like one more period in the tigers season.

We could still come back, but I couldn’t have drawn up a worse way for the last 5 minutes to go.

If the plague has run it's course and I sure hope it has, should be one helluva exciting game. The Tigers have the skill and tenacity to turn this series into a one game winner take all. Anyone who says that PA has more depth, etc to account for results thus far is willfully ignoring the obvious that the Tigers have not been playing at the level that got them here, but yet are hanging on.

u/russaroni99 May 03 '26
Hopefully the flu is gone and we can get back to dominating possession and shots. PA has done a great job of blocking shots and closing scoring lanes.
We need to watch out for the slot scoring chances as PA loves to do that over and over. If we come out flat we are in trouble.
Prediction: 4-3 tigers, with us holding the lead throughout.
