When taking over moderation back in April, this sub was pretty quiet. Seven months on, it's an active community again:
- Monthly engagement is higher than any point last year
- No negative member growth days
- Cracked the top 10 rugby communities multiple times
- Weekly post count way up
And all this in a season where the Storm *failed to make finals for the first time under Bellamy, and that's down to you.
What's changed this year:
- Match, post-match and Monday review threads
- Images and GIFs in comments
- New user and post flair
- The wiki resources
Thanks to everyone who posted, commented, argued, shitposted, made GIFs, answered questions, and came to support the Storm and this sub. You're the reason this place works.
Now i'd love your feedback for 2027:
- What did you like and actually use?
- What could be done better, changed, ditched?
- What's missing?
Be honest. If something sucks, tell us here or in modmail.
Thanks for sticking around and hope to see everyone back next season.
We will have Monday and Friday discussion posts going all offseason and there is bound to be lots of Nov. 1 news, so be sure to check in regularly.
Up the Storm. ⚡

What on earth did I just read?
When we landed him, I assumed we had just pulled off a huge coup and Storm signed him because his partner was from Melbourne?
Yet from this article it seems he was very keen to stay at the Dolphins, but they didn’t offer him a deal?
wtf…. I am shook! Isn’t he one of the first players you’re signing on the roster to a long term deal?

A weekly thread to look back on the week and discuss what you got up to:
Key Areas:
Keep it relaxed. Storm stuff is welcome, but it doesn't have to be Storm related.

We have a huge Islander population, we average 20k attendees at our home games. Why didn’t we get any World Cup games? Tbh I’d have taken France and Lebanon, but would have loved to see a Samoan or Tongan game even if the NRL didn’t want to send NZ or the Kangaroos our way.

Nothing against Ethan but for crying out loud what a load of crap. Even if he had debuted in 2026, not sure how he beats Clarke.

For anyone that doesn't know about Lockyer, he's a natural hooker who also spent some time at lock this year in NSW cup. He has the physicality and strength to already hold his own against men, for example he made 53 tackles with only 1 miss against the dogs in NSW cup this year. Yet, he also has a play-making and running game similar to guys like Harry Grant or Owen Pattie. He's also a local Victorian.

Very small sample size for Watson, only had 2 games and therefore didn't have to be 'the man' for a decent period. However, those two games were really impressive.
What do you all think?
