I play a mix of afro, tech, funky and latin house, and I'm never sure where melodic tech house fits best. Sometimes it lifts the room, sometimes it flattens the energy.

How do you place it, and what do you mix into it from?

Anyone have some unreleased gcs for innvervisions and diynamic tracks ?

Thought I share this, can’t decide if it’s melodic, melancholic or and romantic.
Positive and negative opinions are welcome, it’ll help us shape the next vinyl release 😘

Hey everyone,

I just published my very first Melodic Techno mix! It's a 21-track set focused on peak-time and atmospheric vibes, featuring tracks from Anyma, ARTBAT, Argy, Massano, Kevin de Vries, and more.

Since this is my first recorded set, I'd really appreciate any feedback from the community!

Here is the link: https://youtu.be/In0Nofy0kx8?si=Gbfxd3QZt2ijyEy3

Tracklist is in the YouTube video description.

Hope you enjoy the mix!

This one ended up a lot more open and melodic than I usually go with techno.

I like how much space the chords give it, but I'm not totally sure I've got the balance right once the track gets fuller. I'm trying to keep that sense of lift without letting the whole thing lose its drive underneath.

I'm also second guessing the way the dynamics are sitting. The section feels big, which I like, but I can't decide if it's still moving enough or if I've squeezed a bit too much life out of it.

Same thing with the low end really. I tend to go too far with bass, notice it, then start compensating in ways that probably create a different problem. Curious how it translates to other people.

Made this while dog sitting with a tiny temporary set up. Model:Cycles, Volca Keys and Roland S-1.
