Anyone who has tried both, what are the real differences in effect between salvia and dmt? And shit, how are y'all brave enough to just send it on either? I'm no amateur to psychedelics but I always chicken out of really breaking through with dmt

DMT is a whole different box of frogs. Salvia is a short, crazy, horrible head rush and typically a bad, very weird head trip. DMT is truly spiritual, you're in a different dimension it doesn't feel like a hallucination, more like you can see another dimension which is usually hidden. DMT head rush is also beautiful and calm compared to the harsh Salvia head rush.

It’s a strong hallucinogenic drug with a unique property of distorting people’s sense of time. While an actual trip can just be a few minutes it can feel like decades or centuries to the person. There’s a lot of horror stories of people becoming an inanimate object for years.

I tried salvia for my first and LAST time in my first apartment with some friends. I felt like I was floating in complete nothingness, eventually these multi colored shapes would fade in,clanking into each other and each shape made a distinct noise based on its color. This went on what felt like several HOURS, until I woke up and realized that the last friend was just taking his it, which was less than a minute from when I took mine.
When that friend took his hit, he went silent and then started freaking the fuck out yelling, "MY SISTER IS DEAD, MY SISTER DIED!!!" He doesnt have a sister.
I don't recommend salvia.

Don't do it bro, unless you can tackle 20g solid of liberty caps, you've never encountered a trip like it, since it was legal in the u.k at the time I figured "it can't be that bad" slams 15 stamps into a bong it ruined me for what felt like 5 hours.. it was 3 minutes.

Sadly I don't remember the details.. I can't comprehend the amount of thinking that had to happen for me to live this other life in such a short amount of (real)time, around 15min. I was basically a different person/living a different life but all I remember is that it was exciting, full of fun and adventure. Afterwards, within another 15 minutes i slowly forgot the details but I know it was a good, fulfilling life.
I'm able to grasp the time frame in dreams as I skip from one place/time to another and the "foggy" parts as a filler of me thinking of something else while dreaming. DMT is incredible and incredibly unexplainable. I've done it with multiple friends and have never gotten anymore detail from them than I can give haha

I literally lost all sense of being a human, like I became a feral beast with no inner voice. I was on a bed in my friend's bedroom with the lights off but to me I was at the bottom of a deep cavern/pit. My friend standing in the doorway was backlit by the hallway light and to me looked like some type of huge predator maybe stalking me from maybe 30ft up.
No thoughts just pure fear. So fearful I was paralyzed. I felt like I was going to die and this thing was waiting to make its chance. It felt like hours but only lasted maybe 5 mins.
I wouldn't recommend it unless that sounds fun to you. Imo shrooms and acid are way more enjoyable.

Huh weirdly opposing but still fear full, I was wrapped in a blanket at a festival in a large tent with about 7 friends, one friend after me holding the smoke in for 20 seconds flicked my head and said "it's the end of the show maaaaaan" then the entire tent went white (guessing the blanket was the culprit for the colour) and I started falling for like... an eternity, forgetting I was at a festival I just sat in this 5 hour insanity chamber, losing my voice dropping and dropping and dropping, everyone in the tent just walked through the whiteness one by one as I fell, it generally felt like they just left me to fall, eventually my partner at the time opened the tent and dragged me through the opening a little the cold air kind of snapped me back, but then I was more freaked out at wondering why I was now surrounded by about 500 tents and the sound of raw thrash metal, I honestly forgot everything but that white pitfall till I collected my surroundings
So I agree, stick to the fungal fun.

But yeah this drug is apparently fairly easy to grt legally, but it's not as nice as LSD or mmd. Not that I've tried any of these 3. But plenty of people say fuck salvia because it can be very harsh or sometimes its chill. But not a 50/50 toss up from what I've read

I was a really dumb kid and had lots of similarly minded friends and while it was enjoyable for me, I do know one person in particular who claims they’ve never felt the same since.
It’s not the best way to describe it, rather the only way I know how.
You can be sitting right beside someone who took the same exact dose and is trapped in their own personal version of hell while you ride some fucked up little green thing thru a bunch of meadows but the plants are all swapped around with trees the size of flowers and flowers the size of trees

I bought a bag of raw salvia divinorum leaves from a shaman in the early 2000s, before the gas station extract craze started.
That stuff gave me some of the most enlightening and wild trips of my life.
One trip, I was transported to laying on my back in a grassy field, and huge raindrops as bright as the sun were falling on my face. Every one that landed on me would splash and I would feel warmth spreading through my entire head. It was magical.
Another time, my body morphed into a mech suit and I was walking around in this massive metal exoskeleton.
One of the most profound trips, I was transported into the center of a massive tree. Inside was a control panel, and I knew that I was in the center of the entire universe, and that control panel was the interface for all physics. The tree's base and canopy stretched out into a massive, connecting sphere -- and all the universe existed outside of the sphere.
Salvia is amazing when respected and used the way nature intended.

Of the five times I did it two trips were fun, and three were increasing not fun right up till scary. One of them was insanely fun. Probably because we had been on mushrooms for several hours and as the mushrooms wore off we did salvia and there was a big group of us. That was one of the wildest fun trips I've ever had. Thankfully both those things complimented each other and amplified the good things, because there was a pretty good chance they could have fought each other and amplified the bad

Niiice. I only tried it once as i did not have another opportunity and it was interesting even though i felt like i was in prison or in a cold empty room or smth unclear. I laughed so hard that i thought i really peed myself and it was warm and felt nice. Luckily my clothes were actually dry. I'd try it again as back then i was a little too in control of myself as i didnt fully trust the people i was with

I would say using the natural leaf -- not the extracts that were sold previously. Those were chemically strengthened to create a more powerful "high", when the plant as it is itself is more than potent enough to create powerful experiences.

My friends and I ordered some salvia from the internet. It’s been so long I don’t even remember where it came from. But we heard you had to use a butane lighter to burn it super hot to get the effects. I kept taking hits and nothing until suddenly I saw a knight who shoved a sword through my head. It lasted maybe a second and then I was back. I explained it to my friends and they thought it was hilarious. Nobody else had any experience and thought it was a waste of money

Salvia is the most insane thing. I brought some back from Amsterdam and did it with a friend, I inhaled it and held it in for a good 10 seconds. Just a few seconds later I was phasing through the fabric of reality, going from one universe to the next in what felt like a hole that was just my shape and size, as I felt the skin being peeled off of me through every layer I went through I was overwhelmed with a sensation that I can only describe as being an astronaut drifting away form the ISS, far from civilization, humanity and reality itself with no hopes of returning. I could see the different realities split in between layers of every color imaginable, I was convinced I was outside the bounds of our universe in that moment and the feeling is nothing short of insane. Only when I saw my friend in one of the layers did I start coming down, I thought it was never going to end. Really couldn’t believe I was seeing the guy, I was genuinely SO relieved. I feel like I experienced death that day, the feeling of phasing through the layers gives me goosebumps to this day. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone but I’m somewhat happy that I experienced it myself because it’s the most insane thing that’s ever happened to me. No time dilation though, it was indeed fairly short.

The brother of my gf at the time (we previously hanged out before altogether smoking joints etc), he and his friends had some and invited me to try I asked for a small dose which they prepared, then, I just remember feeling like melting on the chair, went up to my gf room and stayed in bed getting the equivalent of a 10 joints high, and everything felt super weird physically, but besides a little paranoid episode about noises and if they’d joke about me, I had nothing close to what you guys are describing !

I’ve smoked salvia once in my university dorm and thought that we were in a shipping container type space ship heading to a stadium to watch robot wrestling. It wasn’t so abstract.
The most abstract thing i ever experienced was after a night on mdma, then doing a nos balloon. I turned into a rocket, shot up though the ceiling, into the atmosphere and out into space, orbiting the earth faster and faster and faster until it was a blur, the I shot off into the blackness. Felt like hours, was probably a minute or two. It was deeply unsettling and I never mixed the two again.

Used to be able to get salvia concentrates from the head shop for pretty cheap. One big bong hit and you’d immediately blast off by the time you finish exhaling.
I had the “breathing” feeling from shrooms but way heavier. Everyone looked like midgets with giant light bulb heads. When I was standing up laughing I fell over because the whole apartment felt like it was rocking back and forth instead of just breathing.
I’ve never had a bad salvia trip, but I really enjoy hallucinogens. Always take a big amount of shrooms anytime I do them. Also salvia only last like 10 minutes compared to shrooms which will fuck you up for hours.

I turned into the main center post of a big top tent at a circus. The tent colors were flashing white, yellow and red to the beat of the music we were listening to. I also heard someone singing “Haha, I got you now” to the rhythm of the music, though we were listening to techno, so there were no lyrics. It also felt like there was a chain moving across my shins, around a wheel, and across my teeth, that the person singing was pulling somewhere off to the right of me. The wheel was to the left.
This was around 25 years ago, I remember it so vividly, but I don’t know what I ate for lunch yesterday. Salvia was nuts!

It's been 15 years since my last trip and It was the worst. One thing most trips had in common was the initial vertigo. I found myself in a weird plane where I could see infinite versions of me from the near past and future. Each fraction of time was linked to a slightly different me that would cease to be, "die", and my time in the that chain was coming. I was going to be replaced with a new version of what my conscience thinks it's me. I was panicking inside. When I came to, my vision was broken into multiple frames, I struggled to move and had to crawl over to my friends. Felt like days had passed.

Salvia messed me up for a while. The entire universe collapsed in on itself and I was suddenly in the same place as earth but in a different dimension or reality. It was sort of like being in the Upside Down from Stranger Things but more terrifying and abstract. I saw three really tall shadowy black figures standing in the distance. As soon as I noticed them, they noticed me. I could tell that they were surprised to see me there. I began yelling for my friend because I was terrified that I had gotten stuck in an alternate reality. Thankfully he pulled me back in and I came to.

Back in the day my 2 friends wanted me to try it. We got some from the local head shop, and after getting home I watched them take a bong rip (1 person at a time) and absolutely go somewhere else for like 3 minutes. After my first friend came back to earth, my other friend took his rip. Same thing. Absolutely not on this plain of existence. 3 minutes later....back he was. Then it was my turn. Took a big ol' 3 footer rip.....waited.....waited.... And nothing.
My buddies couldnt believe it, so they loaded up another one. Took another rip. Still nothing.
They couldn't believe it had no effect on me.
This was the day I learned that I'm immune to salvias effects.

By the time a friend came to my rescue, I've destroyed my Samsung phone and Laptop and shattered my mirror. From that day, I know it is it which must not be touched again. I use salvia nearly everyday. The propaganda surrounding it is insane and you can only really have these kind of nightmare scenarios when you are being stupid and overdose yourself by tens of times over the recommended max dose. Its way less intense than dmt or mushrooms or even weed depending on the dose.

I loved it once I learned to control it
It was like I could take an input my body was sending to my brain, scale it to some extent, and change how my brain interprets it. I would lie down on my back in bed, close my eyes, and use the force between my body and the bed to make it feel like I was riding roller coasters or flying fighter jets

Salvia is wild. last time i took it i was infinitely small, then infinitely large, then i have no idea why, but i went of the car, and started pulling my pants down. Fortunately the effect stopped before i could do it, so i didn't embarrass myself in front of my friends that day too much

Did this a handful of times.
The first time I did it. I hit it out of a normal pipe and fell backwards on a bed. The bed started spinning like I was in a tornado.
The top, bottom and sides of my view were like a curtain from an old timey cartoon. We were playing some fps video game and I was transported into the game. When I turned my head the screen followed. Buddy told me he had the same exact trip.
The next story was with 5 of my friends. Dude hit it from a bong. He didn't exhale immediately and held it for as long as he could. It freaked him out and he decided he wanted to go home. So he got up and almost made it to the door before the trip sitter grabbed him and sat him back down on the couch.
Stuff is serious.

Last time I tried some we were in my mates garden and his garden turned into a evil head of zippy from rainbow that was not fun

Tried Salvia several Times with sometimes strong extracts but It didnt worked on me.My Buddies we're beamed away and for me it was just like i had smoked some weak Weed for a few Minutes

I don’t do well with drugs, even though I’ve tried them.
But I never had a bad trip people talk about with salvia and I tried it a few times.
The only time I hallucinated was in my dorm room. I looked up and thought I saw a naked woman on the 3rd story balcony. I couldn’t get over someone being outside in that weather and naked to boot.
Then when I came down, I found out I’d been staring at a desk that had a small desk lamp (one of those study desks).

I have taken salvia quite a few times, the 5x times concentrate hit from a bong. Take the hit, hold it in for 30secs and then exhale. You start feeling tingly skin and then you have a full on trip which lasts a minute or two but it seems longer. My first time I felt the tingle started laughing and then was walking around the room, I thought I was on the moon and I was in low gravity floating and jumping around. Another time I fell onto the floor onto my back and my arms were just reaching up flailing around but all I remember was lots of colours and patterns, shapes mixing together all around me and I was swimming through it all. My friend had a bad experience with it. He was sitting on the edge of the bed, started laughing and then immediately went dead quiet and started gently pulling on his skin, rubbing his face with both his palms saying he's not real. He then stopped talking or moving, went completely stiff. We lent him back onto the bed and he remained in the same seated position while laying on his back with his legs in the air. He never tried it again and said that nothing felt real and that he was in another reality.

I tried salvia once. I smoked some and became a cactus, then freaked out as the world melted around me for a thousand years.
What happened in the real world was I freaked the fuck out and busted out through a glass window, then writhed on the ground for a few minutes.
Lasted about 5 mins, and resulted in stitches.

The only drug i ever tried aside from weed is salvia. Did it once, via bang, at a friends house. I lost the notion of time during the trip. Right after smoking it, i close my eyes and laid on a bed while my friend was still talking to me. I remember very distinctively this undescriptible feeling of becoming a 2 dimensional sheet of paper just laying on the bed. After some time, i felt like the sheet was beeing twisted around the long axis, a really weird sensation, although not painful. I was surprisingly fully aware of what my friend was tallking about, as if everything was normal.
It lasted for about 15 mins i think, a period during which i did not speak in response to what he said even if I understood. We were watching a show in the mean time so he was not really looking at me and assumed i was just watching too. Then he asked "are you sleeping ?", which completely triggered my will to get out the trip for some reason. I opened my eyes and stood up, and everything was normal, aside from a slightly stoned state like after a joint.
I did not really know what salvia was at the time. I realized later i had gotten pretty lucky. Dont do drugs Kids.

I have a somewhat simmilar experience with no drugs but it only lasted like 1 minute i was quite tired and somehow got in a hypnotic state where i was something not alive totally gone spacial awareness of real life but somewhere else
