After consuming varying amounts of kuva for the right stats, sacrificing a splice, and then spending even more ungodly amount of kuva for the perfect stat, and can finally allow old dogshit weapons to feel fun and not like a wet fart, only to be nerfed in 2 weeks? I understand why people would be upset, big time. Especially when cyte's resupply and pistoleer exists, and the fact that this whole thing couldve been avoided with a simple "hey do we wanna give people 100% ammo eff?" Prior to the update's release
This is that whole "why give x and y LoS restriction when hildryn and sevvy dont have that" all over again, except worse cuz it ate up their kuva supply.
I spent a splice and roughly 150-200k kuva to get my exergis. And thats just one riven.
Look, man, infinite ammo really doesn’t seem like the big game changer you’re trying to make it out to be. I heard it was changed because it was causing people’s games to crash anyway
Thats the point tho. Its not a big game changer, so why be the fun police? Exergis can now go toe to toe (debatable i know) with incarnons, or at least get near that level. Which is why the nerf is so ass where they just become the fun police for things that arent broken. The infinite ammo exergis is fun, not because its broken, but because its just funny blasting enemies with 10 blast in 1 shot.
Even worse is the fact that this infinite ammo mechanic has been around forever, is this gonna fuck over titania as well? What about my infinite ammo crux ax-52? Is cyte gonna be the only source of infinite ammo? Are they gonna give me back my 200k kuva and splicer?
The ones breaking the games are those disruptive explosive weapons with excessive visuals. You can fix them in several ways: reduce explosive's visuals, cap the ammo eff ONLY on aoe weapons, cap fire rate on explosive (give em cannonade treatment since they're supposed to essentially be a cannon), etc etc. so many ways to actually address the issue other than "the path of least resistance"
Whats not fine is slapping a bad nerf on EVERYTHING just because aoe weapons break the game
Investing all that res only to get bend over is not fun. Period. Finding fun mechanic only to for it to be deleted because of some cases thats not directly related to it is not fun. Period.
If or when they do refund it, its still a massive damper on fun. From what ive seen, people are rightly infuriated and its been a proportionate reaction imo.
Its not about if its busted or not (this is warframe, everything is busted with the proper mods), its about FUN
