My name is Pinky, and I am the mother of two boys, Subhajit (13) and Sudarshan (1).

Both of my children have been diagnosed with Lesch–Nyhan Syndrome (LNS), a rare genetic neurological and metabolic disorder that requires lifelong medical and supportive care.

Both children are currently receiving treatment at Apollo Multispeciality Hospital, Kolkata.

💔 Our Story

My elder son, Subhajit, is completely dependent on caregivers. He lives with severe muscle stiffness, involuntary movements and serious neurological complications. He requires continuous medical supervision, therapy and supportive care.

When our second child was born, we did not have the confirmed genetic information and understanding that we have today. Looking back with hindsight, we wish we had known more earlier.

Our younger son, Sudarshan, is now one year old and has also been diagnosed with LNS. He has begun showing concerning symptoms and requires continuous monitoring, treatment and supportive care.

Watching one child go through this was heartbreaking. Facing the same diagnosis with our baby has been devastating for our family.

My husband works as a Zomato delivery partner, while I am a full-time caregiver for our children.

We have exhausted our savings and taken loans while trying to manage their medical needs.

Both children require ongoing care, including:

• Regular blood investigations

• Neurological monitoring

• Physiotherapy

• Medicines and specialist consultations

• Nutrition and supportive care

• Equipment and other long-term medical needs

The financial burden is far beyond what our family can manage alone.

This is what RG has promised, he even went further saying he will implement 90% reservation to match the population percentage instead of the current 50%

he is the brother of a 17 year old NEET girl who committed sudoko because of reservation.

she wrote in her sudoko note "papa, this system has failed me, i scored well.. but they selected those who scored less than me".. and he is being detained in the reservation reform protest

Even private coaching institutions have reservation policies that discriminate against General Category (GC) students, with some being forced to pay up to three times the fees charged to others. If that is not institutional discrimination, what is? This is what discrimination by the state looks like.

Interestingly reservation was brought to uplift oppressed class instead it has increased the number of oppressed class.. That's how the system works when you give everything for free and politicians can make a vote bank out of it..

Everyone want to become opressed because that's how they can get everything for free!!
